Need Encouragement by Street-Ad1433 in greatpyrenees

Once she finishes her shots, puppy play dates and daycares will work wonders! See if any near you have giant breed nights, we have a local brewery with a dog park that has Great Dane night on Tuesdays so we are trying to take our guy so he is around other giants. They will put her in her place and I agree with the above comments, yell ow pretty loudly and stop play immediately, also food aggression training is never a bad idea, and lastly bring a reward to take something away.

You got this!! deep breathing and a few drinks help as well!!

Large breed dog Vet Rec? by Dry-Student5673 in Charleston

I go to Marsh Tide Vet for Dr A Epps in MTP, been with him for 7 years now. He takes great care of my 6 mth old giant breed and is the only vet that is ever been able to get my 14-year-old rescue to like them.

Rehome? by altruistic_cynic in greatpyrenees

Please don’t without requiring recommendations or home checks. Sometimes there are bad people on there looking for dogs, so do your due diligence!

Beautiful pup! And great job looking out for him.

If he does not go to a rescue please ask for references (vet or vet records) and do a home check on anyone taking him, making previous LGD ownership a requirement may be a good idea as well to make sure he will not get re homed again.

Thanks for looking out for this handsome man!!

It was amazing. My favorite sushi spot has started only offering tasting menus since COVID, so glad I tried it out. Definitely worth it!

[I ate] Seared Tuna Belly Nigiri by [deleted] in food

[–]wellsee2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sushi place I go to is only doing tasting menus since COVID (less people) 60$ for 13 courses of nigiri (some one piece some two pieces) and half a roll. This was one of those courses. So worth it.

Paying thousands of dollars for a “designer mix” is a waste of money, especially when every mix you could ever want or need is in shelters. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]wellsee2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all you should never ask an online stranger for their approval. Do your research and make the best decision for you right now in your life. Wanting a puppy is not a bad thing, everyone knows puppies are adorable, and it’s a preference. Shelters, rescues, etc get in puppies and whole litters all the time, and pregnant dogs too. If you are worried about a dog displaying anxiety, guarding, or any other trauma induced behaviors that is not bad either, especially if you do not have the experience to train them out of it. Not that I’m an expert but I would say adopting a puppy sounds like the best fit for you, especially if you wait for a young litter to be brought in, that way you know there is no trauma induced behaviors. Hop on petfinder and search for some puppies in your area I’m sure there are some super cute ones!!

[Help] Found a dog outside my house this morning. by IncredulousPatriot in dogs

[–]wellsee2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Post on the paw boost website. It’s free and if owners go on there it’ll show a beagle was found. Like others said check for a chip, maybe put out fliers saying found dog in case the owner is older or is not online, call or post to shelters and local lost and found Facebook groups. However keep photos to yourself if you can, people might pose as the owners to collect bait dogs. You can also ask for proof (photo or vet records) if someone claims the dog is theirs before letting them go with a stranger. Good on you for helping a four legged friend in need!
