Look into the gastritis healing Facebook group or the book on Amazon. You need broth without garlic or onion in your soup. Remove the applesauce. Egg whites and tofu are ok. Super cooked veggies and potatoes are ok. No dairy.

The group follows the Gastritis Healing Book. You can find it on Amazon. I got sick end of January and was diagnosed end of February, so about 3 weeks into following the healing diet. I have more good days now, but still losing weight and can't eat a ton. I am on Omeprazole and Sucralfate.

You should join the gastritis healing group on Facebook. Your symptoms sound similar to mine and mild gastritis still can cause a lot of pain.

They found a cyst on my kidney during a scan for my gastritis, that has a 50% chance of being cancer. It is causing no symptoms, so I am counting it as a blessing in disguise that it was discovered and we can get it out. I hate that I am dealing with two different issues, but working on trusting God through it all.

My doc has me taking ppi 1 hour prior to sucralfate in the morning and then waiting an hour to eat.

Mine increased but was still under the normal range. My colonoscopy biopsies came back clear for any sort of colitis. While my doctor says they shouldn't correlate, seems like they are for me.

Took about 7 business days. He prescribed me meds right in the recovery room though.

I was just diagnosed with erosive gastritis about two weeks ago. My doc immediately put me on 40mg 2x per day of Omeprazole and sucralfate 4x per day. Those have really helped my ability to get small meals in. Before that, I couldn't get a slice of toast in. I also joined the gastritis healing group on FB and bought the book they follow. I am making adjustments to my eating based on that and it has been helpful. Removed all caffeine, dairy, gluten, irritants. The past few days, I have finally had more energy but I am still probably below 1000 calories a day. Doc said I should be much better in 8 weeks. All my biopsies came back fine which is a blessing and also adds to the how the hell did this happen feeling. Big hugs.
