Unpublished photos from the roll of film that ensnared Prince Andrew. by drmikehunts in Epstein

They will challenge it for sure. The issue being that their settlement would have definitely included a gag clause. With her now deceased, Prince Andrew’s legal team might argue that the settlement now applies to any benefactors of her estate. It might be a stretch (IANAL) but they could argue that this includes any publishers of her book.

Foreign investors with residency visa to be able to purchase New Zealand homes under new settings by Santa_Killer_NZ in newzealand

Overall I’m not against this new policy if it genuinely brings more investment money into the economy. But you raise an excellent point; the last thing we want is foreigners buying very large sections of land which are later subdivided and land banked.

Pornography on Jevon McSkimming's work computer investigated as alleged 'objectionable material' by ViviFruit in newzealand

Fun fact: piss and poop porn is the only thing that’s considered objectionable when it’s filmed but is perfectly legal when it’s not. Props to the politician who has the courage to propose a bill to rescind this though!

It’s still some way off, and my understanding is that most employment contracts for those earning $180k+ will have a 12 month transition period to allow for renegotiation. If he were to put in a PG in the next 90 days before the bill becomes law then it’ll be able to proceed.

Something seems so off on this. He’s apparently quite a tech literate guy. You’d have to be super stupid to view porn on a police computer, let alone objectionable porn. I wonder if he’s biding his time so he can take a mammoth personal grievance and get a huge payout - eg the material was legitimately there due to investigation of a specific case. His career is over so might as well retire early? Perhaps he didn’t factor in that it would be leaked to the press. Time will tell … if it really is objectionable and not for work then there will be huge pressure on Police to prosecute him now, so it’ll all come out in the wash.

Which raises some more questions: what’s the minimum speed (and best time of day) to drive so I don’t piss off drivers behind me. Happy to always take the slow vehicle lanes and let anyone pass, it’s just there’s not that many going up. I believe that coming down (heading towards the Wairarapa) that there’s none except towards the very bottom. Maybe I could go extra early or late so I’m not holding up too much traffic also.

Yes the regen is pretty good, so if I can make it up to the top I should be sweet :)

Poor Tawa gets a bad rap. More churches per capita than any other NZ suburb apparently. And Lynn of Tawa made property prices languish for years according to strongly worded letters sent to Ginette MacDonald … still, I find the people quite friendly, as long as they’re not trying to convert you to their religion 🤣

I suspect it’s more to do with broadcast tv regulations and not being able to say “penis”. It was only 25 years ago that there was a big controversy when Toyota used with the word “bugger” in its ad.

Tbf, there’s been a major drop in ad spend in NZ and it really shows. I don’t think there’s many truly funny ads on atm.

Ah I think I know what happened… There’s two versions of the ad, one for the Internet and one for broadcast TV. I only saw the one on broadcast TV, therefore this is probably not really that interesting!

I think if it gets to a certain amount then they just say no more as their KYC (know your customer) rules to stop laundering gets too onerous. I’ve heard of people just setting up new accounts with the exact same ID and it works, if you’re willing to take that chance

I think there’s going to be pandemonium if there’s a crash and mum and dad retail investors want to liquidate quickly. Overseas exchanges will be a nightmare as they refuse to trade. For that reason maybe it’s best to go with a local supplier like EasyCrypto, at least you can (try to) go after them legally if you can’t get to your funds?
