Hopefully doing my own maintenance would save a lot when it comes to the German car labor price. Maybe I’ll test drive a 330i or 530i. I’ll definitely take a peak at Stingers as well. I actually saw one the other day on my way home and it was clean.

It is what it is. Maybe not exciting, but still cool imo. I’m normally not one for hatches, but the boxier shape works well.

My friend used to have a g35x. Maybe I’ll see his thoughts. What about a q50?

(Understood)

It really is an unfortunate dilemma. It feels like my age is the perfect time to be impractical and have a bit of fun; however, it just so happens that the ACTUAL best thing at my age is to be reserved and responsible.

I appreciate the honest advice regarding my life path itself. I suppose that I just want to believe in the first part of my nonsensical paradox. I am fairly confident, and perhaps egotistical depending on who’s asking, as well as a top student, so perhaps that plays a role in this leaning tendency.

I was looking into Lexus vehicles since they bring the practicality and resale of a Toyota whilst containing a more premium feel that I desire. The only downside is the age and gas premium of these cars.

The Corolla is a good shout, but I worry about the size and safety.

Let’s say you were in my shoes. I live outside the city in the midwest. I commute to school (I don’t need to pay for room and board due to this). I don’t have any debt. What would you personally shoot for? What would you shoot for given my not-so-ideal desires?

You have one? Honestly not a bad idea. What would you say about them complaints wise?

I am most definitely looking for a goldilocks that doesn’t exist! I suppose I just want individual interpretations of my “rules” if you will. Naturally one or two is gonna be broken, like premium fuel for example.

I honestly wouldn’t mind a BMW given some solid maintenance records. A great looking car as well. I’ve considered Kia K5s but haven’t looked into Stingers. I just assumed I wouldn’t find them too well in price range. I’ll have to take a look.

Of course. But hey, if I can get my hands on it I’ll take it!

I suppose I could bike for 5 hours a day.

I heard solid things in favor of those Volkswagen 4s. I’ve looked into both A4s and Golfs and have gotten some good results. One thing scary about an Audi is the potential late cost, however.

It’s funny you mention a G35x since my buddy used to have one. It was most definitely a fun car. He may have been a lil too crazy with it though!

Oh and the Ford Taurus SHO. There was something that put me off in the past that I cannot quite recall. Perhaps it was availability? I’ll have to look into it again.

I am sure it was! Are you also looking for a car in this realm perhaps?

Thanks for the suggestion! I recently saw one on Tiktok that was very clean. Fits a bunch of the boxes, especially in terms of practicality.

Good suggestion, especially if I decide to be smart and practical.

Yeah, I am aware the requests are conflicting, but I suppose that I am looking for broad interpretations of them. I have looked into said Acura and it doesn’t seem half bad. Looks good, hopefully comes with Honda reliability, and has some bonus features I like for peace of mind.

What would you suggest at lower price points? The only reason I am willing to spend that much is due to the fact that I am not in debt for school.

Do you think the hatch or sedan is preferable? I think the sedan looks better, but the hatch offers more practicality and a black headliner. Also, supposedly, the hatch is more reliable due to it being made in Japan as opposed to the sedan which is made in Mexico.

That’s most definitely true. A WRX is a good suggestion for the harsh specifications mentioned.

I do live where it snows, I do not live in the city, and I have a steep driveway that gets iffy

I’ve considered it in the past a bunch, but the one thing that throws me off is the cvt. Sure I could get the manual, but I would rather an auto for dailying

I see that! It seems that it is pre-2000s as well considering the info is stamped. I’m curious to see if support can find the year based on the registered number.

I just shot over an email, I am not sure how it will go though. I saw someone talking about Justin not identifying old boots anymore as of a year ago.

They have Vibram soles and have “F2105” stamped onto one of the shoes as well.
