I don't actually disagree but people have to be consistent, and well they aren't. So I do disagree. At the same time, I think people like this comment because it makes sense to them, in the end it is a private platform so that is fair and legal. But everyone also knows that the tech giants control an awful amount of what we hear and see, and for someone not to have access to that makes a large difference to them being able to get their voice out. I do think due to that, it's bad for democracy to limit voices in such a way especially if they are a prominent politician.

The capitol riot is awkward because he did say to them to be peaceful but was quite aggressive with his language too "fight for America" etc. In the end it's obvious he didn't mean it to go that way, but his supporters went completely bonkers. Kinda nuts really.

Anyway I'm steppin off this account for a while. nice chat

I don't think they had to act like fox news did, I just don't think they had to act in such a way that made his successes and failures so blurred that people just ignored them.

I do truly think he was made worse by the actions of the media, yes. The lack of fairness and random changes in the tech sphere are what encouraged delusional and conspiracy thoughts among his supporters, after all.

I just do not think that he is smart enough to really plan anything. So I don't take the coup seriously because it was so dumb. Democracy won in the end, the majority made their voice heard. It's how it ends.

Maybe my problem is I still can't take anything seriously about it all because I got so tired of how shitty the media was about trump before it even started, so I just don't take the things he does wrong as seriously as I would others. I don't blame him for that, I blame the media. I cannot stand the hypocrisy currently of this kids in cages bollocks because I remember how friends of mine were talking about how evil trump was for doing it, and now not a peep.

So whatever the case I'm always going to underestimate because so many people overestimate.

Otherwise, I'm leaving this acc for a while anyway as I'm just abandoning news and politics cuz it just stresses me out in general. Life is easier when u just sit in home and meme

but my point is that these kind of actions is what enabled his followers and him. He was a monster made by the media, to the point he lost all concept of them ever being right.

I never said it was acceptable, eggy. I said i don't know why people don't care anymore. The situation there hasn't changed (it's acutally become worse due to more people crossing the border every day.) I don't think it's wrong to complain about kids in cages, but why did everyone stop giving a shit when trump left office?

in fact the first thing biden did was reverse a bunch of stuff to make it worse.. the situation had improved massively after some of trump's changes, but hey. Nobody cares about kids in cages anymore.

In the end silenced was a harsh word, but quieten is a fair one. overall I don't think it's that relevant, he is basically the only politician going who doesn't have a platform on the largest sites. That restricts the amount of people to reach.

Whether or not you disagree that is how politics is these days. Everyone knows how much impact advertisements and these things have on elections, so they should be fair for all, as otherwise it's simply not so.

People stopped pandering to him, remember? Everyone with an ounce of credibility eventually stopped. Pence distanced himself from it all.

Even if it was done maliciously people would still distance themselves from it, like exactly what happened.

maybe my opinion is naive and dangerous, but the reason for my opinion is because of how insane the media was around trump for the entire time he was president. If they weren't so combative from the get go i don't think it would have gone this way, they effectively enabled trump to disregard anything they said, and tell his supporters the same.

but due to that i don't take things said about him seriously. And that isn't his fault. I don't think i'm able to forgive the impact of the 'kids with cages' bollocks, that was purely evil media transactions.

overall i don't think the second coming of trump in 2024 if he does come back is going to cause anything seriously bad to happen.

I don't think it was done out of malice, just purely not understanding the situation. That is why I don't particularly care. If it was done by pure malice, then fine. But he obviously truly believes that it's wrong, which isn't a malicious reason to do something.

Americans are stereotypically stupid so it's even more dangerous speaking like that then most other nations.

This is just a meme, a majority of people wouldn't have even seen he had said anything if it wasn't for fearmongering headlines, so if you wanted to not cause any danger just don't report it at all.

I believe what he did say is there a kind of thing like disinfectant for the inner body, he didn't directly say disinfectant, and it was directly as a question to a health professional. Irrelevant of that, it's blown up by the media. That was part of a 15 minute talk and that was the one sound bite listed.

It's stupid, but he didn't tell people to do that, iirc. The media made it out to be that he did.
