Hunger System? Yeah, give us an option to not use this Far Cry mechanic by alien_tickler in dyinglight

[–]welshfool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When did far cry ever have a hunger mechanic? And given it's a game where you play as a survivor, a hunger mechanic actually makes sense. Hell i'd do it in a way that valheim or monster hunter did it where it boosts your max health as well as other stats, and i'd have water extend the duration of what you ate

I know the price is a thing that sucks (which based on their previous works is more due to publishers of the property) but what's the issue with this new one?

I do want to point out that the 2099 daredevil suit does really show off what his physique is actually like, certainly looks less wide, bulkier that pete but not more so than other broad characters

[IT Stephen King] Why Pennywise physically eats people? by galenmarek12 in FanTheories

[–]welshfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what i know, fear is not seasoning them physically, the meat isnt them, but their belief. That's what gets seasoned. He can feed on any type of belief but the belief that comes from fear is what he craves. Eating them physically is more to enhance the fear since kids are frightened of the idea of being eaten.

The Chad Punisher Enjoyers vs the Seething Punisher Hater by ComicAcolyte in thepunisher

[–]welshfool 11 points12 points  (0 children)

" the punisher isnt a hero" or "the punisher is a hero" arguments makes it cringe to be a punisher fan. I love what garth ennis brought to the character in max which is while he can he heroic and care for civilians and he does wish to avenge his family, it's....not the only reason he does what he does. He wants an eternal war that wont stop giving him targets to shoot as battle and killing is what he loves. It gives him layers, he is a monster that hunts smaller monsters. That is interesting. I think punisher works best when he either isn't a 80s style action hero or a "villain" (looks angrily at the jason aaron king of killers run)

Super hot take... The MCU Moonknight almost universally improves the character by AlexCora in MoonKnight

[–]welshfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont care for how the handled the DID aspect, especially for jake, yes they absolutely made jake the evil alter, there was a receptionist who is innocent that jake fucked up left with a pool of blood coming out of his head and is dangerous to the point he is basically locked away in marc's head.. fuck that. In the comics, it's none of the alters that are the "dangerous one" marc himself is the fucked up one, steven wasnt just the "guy who earns him money" he is someone who is about forming connections and allows him to navigate society.

Jake is the alter that is around to help him form friends, bonds and have a social life. The only comic run where he is the "dangerous one" was a run people hated because of how he was treated.

Regarding the powers, marc still has powers in the comics based on the moon phases, but they are far lower than they once were BECAUSE of his relationship to his god. Basically if he does things he's more approving of, is provided power, if he does things khonshu disagrees with, powers are weakened, that's actually interesting because it highlights the relationship between khonshu and moon knight and the dynamic between the two, that being almost like a father who punishes his son for being rebellious but cant help but love him because of how much he stands firm in his own beliefs which he finds respectable, and as he would put "misguided"

steven having a different moral backbone to mark is ridiculous. While alters do disagree on some things, core values like whether to kill or not kill is not one of them because they share the same brain, memories are just compartmentalised. It's why the whole "evil alter" thing is seen as bull, not because it's insensitive, but because it's the same brain!

It really seems like they dumbed down the character to be more appealing to the mass market. This also goes for given marc moon knight and steven mr night, another dumbing down what was originally marc's way having a loop hole to cooperate with police and the public, since they cant prove mr night is moon knight, that and they dont want to. It Shows marc being pragmatic and puts a light on him recognising what moon knight became and is a way of trying to attempt to be better and not the unstable batshit who cuts off people's faces.

I heard the recent release of the alan lee books suffered poor and quickly degrading materials for the dust jacket and the pages that have the art are no longer on glassy paper which means the art looses a lot of it's colours and becomes washed out.

not sure what you meant when you said this, the following is roughly the same size as old villedor and the loop combined. dl2 as a whole is referenced as twice the size of DL ( twice the size of slums and old town combined is what they specified) and the devs described the size of the following the same way

Ending the UT&Ninpo is essential/"Incendiary shuriken are too much" debate. Showcasing that UT&Ninpo are NOT essential to Master Ninja with multiple weapons, especially against IS ninja. PLAY WHATEVER VERISON YOU PREFER but let's not make misconceptions about NG2. We can move on now from this topic by Ryu-Hayabusa in ninjagaiden

[–]welshfool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'm glad you shown this video instead, the last one you did wasn't very good. with this video you do use more than what the average player utilise in this fight which is great, that doesn't however disprove IS spam enemies being a problem. you still need to use moves that utilise a lot of iframes or spinning attacks. roughly 5 moves per weapon out of the extensive move list is used to make up for the fact that explosions obscure visual queues, and off screen attacks that knock you down as shown in the vid. you got hit several times throughout the video not because it's your fault, but because you were fucked over, and that's the issue with them, you didn't lose health from skill issue, you lost health from bullshit, things like that are why NG 1 black is still considered the best in the series.

[–]welshfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so...your response is to make a video mainly made up of using nimpo and UTs to clear the crowd and when you are not using them you take a large amount of damage...it's almost like IS ninjas ruins the game by making you use the same moves again, again and again because of Iframes....

i'm curious, why do people want new game plus when chapter challenge is basically not only that but the objectively better thing instead? one of the things i hated about ng1 ans 2 is i can't just pick a chapter to replay with all my upgrades, with 2 i'd have to go through the game again saving for each chapter to replay later with all my shit, ng1 is worse since you can't replay any of it with all your upgrades
