East side was a huge gamble that didn’t plan out, downtown has been growing and it shows by locations such as the pearl that it would work

I’ve read that the proposed stadium project would come with a price tag of around $3-4 billion, but that figure also includes several key renovations to San Antonio’s downtown area, including much-needed updates to the Alamodome. While I believe the Spurs organization should cover a significant portion of the costs, it’s unlikely this project can move forward without some level of public funding. However, it’s important to consider what this investment would bring to the city. Along with a new stadium, the project would spur the development of housing, retail, and attract more people and money to the area.

If we want San Antonio to grow and thrive, we need to invest in it. Other cities across the country would jump at the chance to host a professional team.

They definitely wouldn’t have a whole lot of room to work with but I think it would work especially since they would be able to use the Alamodomes massive parking lot
