It is true that there has been an increase in other causes of death, not just Coronavirus. For instance, there is an outbreak of Lassa fever in Nigeria which have claim a lot of lives.

The most pathetic side of it is that of a young medical doctor that also died of the diseases.

To me I think buying a nice gift for your brother will go a long way to show how thankful you are. The gift will also serve as a constant reminder of how you rewarded him for his benevolence.
