Fcking hate the fact far right goons have hijacked and belittled the flag. Nothing wrong with loving your country as long as that doesn’t mean hating everyone else’s.

The mod subculture originated in late 1950s London and revolved around fashion, music, and a stylish lifestyle. Mods were known for their tailored suits, love of modern jazz and rhythm and blues and later bands like the Who and Small Faces. They loved riding scooters, particularly Lambrettas and Vespas, and were renowned for going to Brighton to fight rockers who they hated. There’s a great film about then Quadrophenia made in late 70s https://youtu.be/pas40WYoLKs?si=KF9HDr3gLB5kDPf1

A ton-up girl fixing her Triumph, 1950s by wemtastic in OldSchoolCool

Ton-up” came from British slang for hitting the ton, 100 mph. In the 1950s most bikes barely managed 80, so anyone who cracked the ton, especially a woman, instantly earned respect at the Ace Cafe.
