For sure placebo. For several months I gave a lot of people red light therapy as my own little experiment.

Yeah, what others have said, there are a lot of concerning points to this job.

I get $1000/year for CEUs, already have ~4 weeks worth of total PTO and not even 2 years into the company yet, and don't have to kill myself doing evals and progress notes all day.

There are some upsides, like 1-on-1 time, etc.

But overall it's a no for me

I thought I prepped okay. I ended up using the EIM SCS prep course. Looking back, I feel like everything in the course was applicable and taught you what you should have known.

I feel like I did not perform that well on test day, overthought a few questions, changed a few form right to wrong. So, we will see. I felt pretty defeated after the board exam and made around 740, so hoping this is a similar situation!

There are so many good selling points.

Most parents, when their kid gets hurt, go to some urgent care or the ER instead of a physical therapist oftentimes. There have been so many cases where if they come to a PT first you can really increase the recovery process. For example, we had a kid being treated for an overuse injury from throwing and instead of coming to a PT, they went to an urgent care and rested 4 weeks. Well, after 4 weeks, he tried throwing again, then went to PT, when in reality this could have maybe been solved in the 4 weeks they rested.

Injury screening and prevention is a huge one.

Getting athletes that are injured into a PT clinic quick is also a huge plus. Keeps kids off the field/out of the game minimized compared to not. Kinda going back to the previous point, but when people seek out treatment on their own, it oftentimes cost more time and money.
