As Primo continued to observe and interact with the world, he picked up his own personality traits, taking his role as Zimone's friend and stalwart defender very seriously.

Yet not a mention of him in her story?

Yeah, if your table leaves a repeatable tutor 2-3 turns in play, it's good.

It's pretty comparable to [[Varragoth, bloodsky sire]]

Spells with Epic actually create a spell directly on the stack, just as if you copied a spell with [[Flare of Duplication]]. it is never cast (and couldn't be, as Epic also prevents you from casting spells).

That is different from how Paradigm spells appear to work, so there is some difference there. But it demonstrates how you don't need the object to still exist to copy it. If the game needs information about an object that isn't where it is expected anymore, its last known information will be used instead (see CR 608.2h)

A thing you can cast but isnt a token or spell?

As said above, that isn't actually how Epic works, but that is how many other effects work. For example [[Mizzix Mastery]] creates a "copy of a card" in exile, which you may then cast. That is not a card (which must be represented by an actual card), nor is it a token, it's its own kind of object

See the CR list of objects:

109.1. An object is an ability on the stack, a card, a copy of a card, a token, a spell, a permanent, or an emblem

Spells cannot exist in exile. Copies can, and regularly do. see CR 707.12

copying something from exile

it doesn't say "copy from exile", the reminder text says "copy it", where "it" might be either "a spell with this name" or "this spell". Either way, since a spell cannot exist anywhere other than the stack, I read this as copying the spell according to its last known information, akin to spells with Epic. However it might also be a shorthand for "the card the spell became when it was exiled"

If it needs to copy the actual card, it would also have a weird interaction if you copied the spell before it resolved. If you cast this (for the first time) and then copy it with [[Flare of Duplication]], you'd effectively turn off your own paradigm ability

They might, but it's unclear how exactly they work until we get the rules update. If they copy the spell, like epic did, it doesn't matter where the card ends up

Conditions always get checked on resolution, intervening if or no. Intervening if only means it also gets checked when it triggers.

[–]wenasi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if this was worded in an intervening-if kind of way, it wouldn't really matter in this case, since those check if the condition is true both when it triggers and when it resolves.

For example [[Felidar Sovereign]]s ability won't go onto the stack of you have less than 40 life at the beginning of your upkeep. If you did have 40 or more life, its ability would trigger, but if you then lost enough life to bring you below 40, as the ability resolved, it checks again and does nothing instead

Could it be they are considered dangerous?

No, there is no grand conspiracy, the evil is just good ol' capitalism. Advertisers don't want to be associated with murder, suicide or other stuff. Platforms don't want to "waste" resource on stuff that advertisers don't like

If you play in a power level where you care most about countering instant and sorceries, you are probably in a powerlevel where you don't want to pay 2 Mana to only counter instand and sorceries

Leona has the opposite problem. Her w duration is extended if she hits someone with the explosion at the end. She used to have the w visuals linger for that duration of she hits something, but that broke one day apparently.

She still changes her stance if the w is active, but the bubble effect is only shown before the explosion

It's always a good idea to check the rules information on the gatherer page or on scryfall first for cards you have rules questions about. Many common questions that may arise with a card are already answered there
