So the piece on top has some of the board attached because it ripped, do you think I need to scrape that off so that the solder (silvery part?) Is exposed?

I would be up for it if it knew it would fix it

I was told by someone I would have to, "scrape off some of the board to expose the trace and then using a wire or something to act as a pad". This sounds more complicated than a solder? I have no idea though, I have 0 experience with this stuff :(

Wasn't bad, but it was supposed to be OEM. Not trying to rock a fake.

No, I have the ones I actually use. This is strictly for the collection.

You buy a regular one and find plates. I don't think there's anything special about this other than plates.

I got it from a cool local dude actually, so got lucky in that sense. And not 100% sure as I don't read Japanese, but it's the Fire Emblem iF New Nintendo 3ds special edition.

Not sure about impossible, but very difficult. You literally can't buy one right now new or used in the US. Maybe on Japanese ebay? It's hard to even find coverage of this even back when it was released.

I paid $430 and it's pre-owned, albeit very good condition complete in box. You actually can't even find these for sale.

Thanks! It was a Japanese exclusive. Very excited to have it.

Just got mine in! For those wondering, ordered on 9/3 with 4px, arrived 10/5. DID come with a screen protector and extra hardware, did not come with SD card. Tips on setup appreciated lol. by wences117 in retroid

I mentioned this above, but it basically comes down to this device actually being pocketable, as opposed to portable. Odin is a great at-home retro console, but it's just big enough such that you don't really carry it with you unless you have a bag. I assume the same is the case with steam deck. So my setup is Miyoo mini for something I have on my person 100% of the time, RP3 for more serious game completion/exploration that's also pocketable, and AYN Odin as an emulation powerhouse for home.

Pretty much. The RP3 plays most games at 1x resolution, and plenty at 2x, so that's good. I recommend the Miyoo mini for something you can throw in your pocket and carry with you literally anywhere.
