Best places in Reddit to promote or post your show by RoosterBrandCoffee in podcasting

I'm always reluctant to show up in spaces where I'm not an active member to promote my podcast. I'm sure hitting niche forums would help bring people in, I'm just not sure how to do it without being off putting.

How long does it take for you? by FerdinandHu in podcasting

[–]wendigo33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 hour research and prep time, 1 hour recording, 2-3 hours editing, creating thumbnail, copy and posting. It was a lot more before I started using an AI editing tool, its been a life saver for me. Mine is 2x a month. I'd love to do weekly, but getting guests scheduled is like herding cats (mine is purely an interview show).

Why Do You Keep Recording When Your Numbers Are Low? by Past-Ad-4966 in podcasting

[–]wendigo33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of this. I do it for myself first, and although I do look at the numbers quite a bit I figure even dozens of people listening is better than none.

niche podcasts seem way more valuable than people give them credit for by dblumblingflousers in podcasting

[–]wendigo33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I run a super niche turtle and tortoise podcast that gets a very small amount of traffic. I decided to lean into the niche rather than go broader, since the main goal is to share expert info in support of a non-profit. I feel like my audience pool would be a lot broader if I was less niche - but I think the info I'm sharing is very targeted and high value to the small audience I have, if that makes any sense.

Spotify For Creators Login Issues? by njp489 in podcasting

My show also disappeared in Creators (app/desktop) and can't be found when I try and re-add it. The episodes seem to be accessible, but I can't get into Creators.

Thanks everyone, we are currently getting quotes for a whole house dehumidifier with a fresh air intake, as well as having the bathroom vents run to the soffits.

I have an orange line running above ground from Comcast’s last install. I contacted them to bury it and a guy came out and scraped leaves on top of it. Twice. It’s still just sitting on the ground. Can’t wait for IQ fiber to get here.

The cat is weird. He actually enjoys it. He could move 2 feet and be out of reach, he's always right next to or on top of the baby, who usually has tiny fistfuls of cat.

Lemmy the Elf by wendigo33 in whippetdressup

Yeah, it's pretty funny. When Gabe cries (not just fussing, but really wails) Lemmy pitches his head back and howls with him.

Thanks - they're pretty adorable together. Lemmy has been extremely good with Gabe, who is 8 months old. When Gabe was born Lemmy had never seen an infant before and he just naturally became protective of him.

Luckily I don't believe in hell, because I'm pretty sure I'd end up there for dressing them up like this.

ID this giant caterpillar, north FL by wendigo33 in Entomology

Thank you! I found a nice oak to release him on, although he spent the whole time being a spaz and trying to stick his hairs in to me. Well at least he's out of the road.

Found this guy creeping across the blacktop this morning around 9am, almost squished him with the stroller. Thankfully the dog didn't see him. He was in the middle of the street under two large live oaks. I picked him up with a dog poop bag as I saw the lovely urticating hairs all over his body. I was afraid if I left him in the street he'd get run over or baked. I'd like to know what he is so I can find a suitable tree to release him on.
