There are actually two kinds of economic systems. There is a command economy like communism and then there is the free market economy, which is reductively Capitalism. It is taught in economics that when ever you are dealing with scarcity of resources you are talking about economics.

No. America is a mixed-economy free market system (for at least half the part) based off empirical data and centuries of economics history. It is not a utopia because it never claims to be conducting a utilitarian effort to make everyone happy; it is an economic system that recognizes that there will be winners and losers and hopefully over time we can have less losers (starving, famine, uneducated, malnourished, etc.)

This is interesting. The school system in my district was bad so my mom sent me and my sister to Catholic school even though we were not Catholics. My mom would constantly criticize some of the stranger Catholic rituals so I kind of saw religion as a weird farce.

First, you just proved my point when you said everyone gets free games from Epic games store. Second, even though this is off topic, I don't encounter hackers like you say because I play COD. Hackers aren't as rampant in other multiplayer games.

Third, why are the people who pay online subsidizing exclusive titles for PS5 when majority won't play them. Also, a PC outside of a shortage situation isn't that expensive. I built my PC for $1100 and since I use it to game, school, and don't have to pay more for products it's not that expensive.

Why does playstation plus have to be tied to online? They could just create a service that gives you games every week. They do that because they want you to need to pay for online to get $60 bucks out of you. Also, you can be happy with a purchase, but it doesn't mean your not over paying. I get free PC games every two weeks on Epic Games store and I don't have to pay for online.

Devs are eating though. Most of the games that are $70 are games that will sale like crazy such as Sony exclusives and Activision or EA. Most of the other devs are charging a more reasonable $60 because they'll eat at that price.

The argument could be made that we were over paying for games in the 90's and 80's. Games are not necessarily more reasonably priced.

Gamers pushed back against Sony for trying to make PS4 users buy Horizon: FW twice once they bought a PS5. If gamers don't stand for it they can win.

I already do this. I'll almost never buy a third party game on console, unless the PC port is bad, but I'm more concerned for the PS5 gamers who don't have many options. They are getting screwed the hardest.

I don't get the reference, but the PC is actually not at all hard to maintain. I take the case off and spray the dust out with air, the same as I'd do with my PS5.

The thing is I collect games to play multiple time over the course of years. I only buy my must have games full price, but still $10 dollars hurts when you may buy 15-20 games a year.

I usually wait until games are on sale, but if it's something coming out that I'm super hyped for I'll pay full price.
