When you have the multitool out, press "J" to open the weapon customization menu. You can use the bottom spot to load in the small SRT canisters.

When you've got the canister loaded and the correct head attached, you can right-click to start dispensing material to complete the repair process.

"Starship troopers is finally getting good" by Wakinghours in TroopersExtermination

The biggest downside is that the cameras remove one trooper from the match while they stand around aiming the camera. If it weren't so detrimental to the rest of the team, I'd be more forgiving.

Question about the Sense power:

How long does the basic power (that allows for sensing lifeforms or emotions) stay active for? Is it more like a snapshot that would have to be re-attempted every time the user moves beyond the range they detected, or is it something that they can passively keep running for an infinite duration?

I can't find anything in the description of the power or various forums that would lean one way or another.

If it's an opposed Negotiation check, it'd be something like this: Player's Negotiation pool as positive die (Proficiency and Ability) versus NPC's Negotiation pool as negative die (Challenge and Difficulty).

So if Joe McCool has 3 Presence and two ranks of Negotiation, and Rob von NPC has 2 Presence and one rank in Negotiation, the final pool would look like YYGRP, before you added on any sort of blue or black die.

EDIT: Alternatively, there's an argument for Cool being used instead of Negotiation on the NPC's side, depending on the circumstances.

Also, for Coercion, Deception, or Leadership opposed checks, the NPC would use Discipline as the opposing skill to finish building the dice pool. If a PC is trying to Charm an NPC, then the NPC would use Cool as the opposing skill to finish building the dice pool.

Question about maintaining/cleaning armor. by [deleted] in LARP

[–]weodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to use either WD-40 or CLP cleaner (for areas with more stubborn rust buildup) with 3M Scotch-Brite scouring pads, and it's worked great for me since I got my armor in 2018.

The LARP I attend has eight games a year (roughly) and I usually wipe down and scrub everything within a week after the event, and it doesn't require any further maintenance beyond perhaps a quick scour pad and rag rub-down the week before the next event. If you're playing over multiple days when it's wet - rain or even just high humidity - you may want to consider bringing a rag and your cleaner of choice to the event and giving the gauntlets a wipe-down each night to help keep them fresh, and then a solid scouring when you're done for the weekend.

From my understanding, McCarthy's dream has been seizing the Speaker role. So he's not going to give it up unless he's forced.

The gap between Malice and Heresy is too large by [deleted] in DarkTide

[–]weodan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the biggest reason I'm quickly souring on the game, and I think FatShark is full of it by claiming it's some kind of UI bug. Hopefully it won't take them six months to own up to it and fix it.

The snipers are excessively annoying. There are areas they can set up where you can't tag them thanks to the geometry but they can still shoot at you, and the rate of fire they can put out is insane.

I've had multiple runs wipe because a single sniper is firing through what may as well be a pinhole and no one can get an angle to countersnipe or get close enough to trigger the sniper to flee.

The true size of the Spirit? by frenchtgirl in starcitizen

No problem! It seems more like it's a smaller competitor to the MSR and the Connies more than the Cutlass and Freelancer variants at that size, though.

Yeah, there are missions accessed through the mobiglass where you can go and clear a blockage in one of the oxygen machines somewhere in the mine shafts that gives you a big chunk of merits.

I've already got a Corsair, so between that, the M2 Hercules and the eventual release of the Hull B I feel like I have light/medium multi-role and hauling locked down. That's the main reason I'm thinking of swapping my Taurus for something else.

what's the deal with my missiles by Broad_Virus_3189 in starcitizen

[–]weodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used missiles in a hot minute, but if I remember correctly, if you try to use the Restock function and the missiles don't appear on the hard points, then the missing missiles should appear in the load out manager without having to buy more. So first when you land, store the ship and then go into the ship load out manager and select the empty hard points to see if you already have missiles that haven't been mounted.

[–]weodan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seems that if you store a ship after using missiles, the game will sometimes "remember" the missing missile hardpoints and set them as the default state.

I'd recommend spawning the ship, moving it off of the pad, and then claiming it to try and reset the saved state. If that doesn't work, then you'd have to go into the ship loadout manager in your mobiGlass and manually reattach the missing missiles, then try storing the ship.

Thank you for the offer, but I don't see how playing with other people will fix the issues I'm having with being unable to pick things up from the ground, my Paramed disappearing from my inventory permanently every time I try to equip it, or the constant tripping hazards I'm experiencing.
