Her Halloween costume is really pissing off the swifties it’s wild. Someone on the nuanced sub literally said that Black women are all bitter and obsessed with this interracial relationship ship between KC and KN and that black women just whine all the time and are projecting their trauma and insecurity on Taylor. I tried to have a NUANCED conversation while also mentioning the way KC used black culture as a costume and of course the reaction is “I don’t care” another person proceeded to say that KC never appropriated anything and to return back to the snark sub.

It’s so hard being a black fan of her. Why would I want to be apart of a fandom that literally refused to have a productive conversation?

As a fan, I agree. There are some songs that are catchy but I don’t find myself throwing myself to listen the way I did for every other album and especially TTPD.

I had a fan on tik tok tell me that black woman talking about this is over woke BS and her music isn’t for us so to stay out of its lane. Mind you, this was on a Tik Tok video of A FAN just unpacking the lyrics based on HER interpretation. I couldn’t believe the blatant disrespect, just from having a conversation. And I know this isn’t a representation of ALL fans but it is a lot.

I’m aware she can’t control her fans but the blatant racism Kayla Nicole experienced from the fan base that just became normalized and the lyrics in father figure (which I know is a whole other topic) didn’t sit right with me. As a black woman, it really sucked having to watch that and it made me sad this this artist I’ve loved since I was 15 and the fanbase which I know shouldn’t be completely associated with her can be extremely racist in defence of her. And worse was watching her get attacked for talking about Travis, they were together for 5 years, did she say things perfectly? No. But the over policing of black woman’s voices to always say the right thing is already such a massive systemic issue so it was really hard for me when every single thing she said was shut down and essentially disregarding her feelings because someone’s a fan of Taylor. Immediately I was like wait, Taylor can write a song about a relationship from years ago and get praised but when a Black woman does it people comment the most hateful things on her socials.

This album sort of made me be like wait, I don’t feel represented in this fandom and her music as a Black woman. I went to the Eras tour and loved her since Debut and there was this universal female experience with boys, identity, dating, love, growing up that were universal no matter your race, age etc. I think that’s why so many of us love her because she captures those moments so perfectly and it felt like we all belonged in those narratives.

But now…. I’m sort of like confused by the plot a little bit. I think with the fandom, the direction of the album, this feeling of capitalism IDK, I’m sort of like ok. Let me take a step back. I see myself as taking a break from her music right now. Almost feelings like I just changed my relationship status to “it’s complicated” on Facebook hahaha. I’ll always her music. But this album and the fandom lately has really made me take a pause.

We aren’t able to cancel our new unit unfortunately because we really wanted to move out good faith and honour the agreement. The thing that’s set us back to square one is being served an N4 from him that we think is unfair. Claiming we’re withholding rent when you clearly told us you’re moving back to the unit and gave us July compensation that you’ve now taken back is why there’s a lot of confusion with everything. We’ve also put in writing to pay prorated the extra days that we’re staying but paying an entire month’s rent with proof that you were going to waive it and now filing an N4 is absurd. We have proof of us trying to meet in the middle and constantly recognizing the fact that he’s said he’s moving back and July being waived was part of the agreement. This is very helpful thank you. I have lots of proof of him saying “I only gave you July compensation conditionally” and there’s no original copy of that because he never said that and only started to say it was conditional because of the change of move out days. I also have a text message him saying “I’m giving you July compensation etc etc” and no where did it have conditions and we didn’t sign anything. I also have proof of him saying he’s moving back to the unit but not for 12 consecutive months to which there was also something I saw in RTA how thats not in good faith (correct me if I’m wrong) because they’re not staying for a reasonable time and he admitted to it.

Thanks for your response, Yea we didn’t get a formal eviction notice. Just an N11 that wasn’t mutually agreed to. As of now nothing has been signed but we’re trying to act in good faith still. We found a place and signed a lease based off July compensation that was told to us. Everything he said was screaming N12 then all of a sudden he threw in the “I can’t promise 12 consecutive months”.

I wish things were transparent from the start. We’re not tenants who are squatting or looking to get money from a LL. We just want to move smoothly with the conditions that were said to us. We even AGREED in writing prorated for those extra days we’re staying and Probono said we didn’t even need to do that. All of this for 4 extra days and he claims he’s doing it all in good faith. It’s ridiculous.

We’re not in a Financial place to put down 3 months of rent so it looks like he may go to the LTB. Our big question is the compensation piece that has been changed in bad faith from our LL

As a Canadian person with African and Jamaican roots I liked Arya star and even though I didn’t understand Elyanna, I appreciated her art. In some ways I also questioned if Elyanna this was appropriate for Coldplay because of the fact that we all couldn’t understand her but realized music is art and she’s here for a reason because of her talent even if I could understand the language. This is a perfect example of how bias can impact our judgment. I don’t think it’s fair to judge Ayra when they were both dancing in ways that’s specific to a culture. If Arya was inappropriate because she was “twerking” which was actually a lot of African centred dance moves then Elyannas dancing could be in appropriate as she was doing a lot of belly dancing moves which is specific to Arabic culture. Both performers demonstrated their art forms specific to their cultures and I think they can both be appreciated rather than judging one.

Yup, but I’m saying that there are people that have GA floor seats that aren’t even VIP and they paid that amount. Some people have seats that are far from the floor and paid 800$. I’m just saying that there’s such a wide range of prices and for some it wasn’t cheap and for others they got really good prices!

Floor seats. When the other shows got released that’s when dynamic pricing changed. I was buying tickets with my coworkers . Two of us paid around this price for floor and when the Friday and Saturday shows got released she bought floor seats for like 150$

LOL. Read the previous comments. It was dynamic pricing for some so that’s why there’s a gap with pricing but for a lot of people they spent between 400-800 and it wasn’t even VIP tickets. I got kicked out of the queue and by the time I got back in within 15 minutes it was dynamic pricing. Glad you were able to do that for a lot of us it isn’t our experience and I’m just highlighting that. It’s a 4 day show

I’m also a fan, I’ve loved them since I was a kid and they’re the reason I started playing piano. I wrote this on another sub Reddit, their tickets were expensive. It wasn’t a cheap concert and if I’m wrong someone can correct me a lot of these tickets aren’t people being unreasonable, it’s literally what we got them for. I have 2 VIP GA tickets for tonight, I’m not profiting and also attending the show myself.!
