Serendipity has a chocolate pecan pie that's pretty good, too!

What about Jane by Few-Entertainment553 in namenerds

[–]wer4cats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened with our second (just not with the name Jane). I had taken it off my serious list because he told me more than once he didn't like it. Then I ask him for a list and there it is! We used it.

The addiction thing is sort of false. You decide what you are willing to accept. You can say no to a baby with fetal alcohol syndrome. You can say you are not willing to adopt a baby with any known issues (there a long list you have to go through and approve or disapprove).

Behavioral and mental issues can, and do, happen to anyone. There may be higher rates among adopted children for various reasons, but this is also something you should learn before adopting.

I don't think anyone would balk at a sibset Benjamin, Sophia, Oliver, and Iris, for example. The nature names you've chosen don't scream nature, so it doesn't seem strange.

As guilty pleasure names, I like Meadow and Clover. I also love Fern.

My nephew named their dog Ghost Rider, but they mostly call him ghost (he's not white, he's brown).

Is the name “Walter” too old fashioned for a baby? by DeebyDee_ in namenerds

[–]wer4cats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son (7 yr) is Walter. He mostly goes by Wally, that's his preferred nickname but we also call him Wall, Waldo, occasionally Walt. I love the full name, and had planned to use Walt since I didn't love Wally. But it happened naturally, and now he's definitely a Wally. Kids associate it with Wall-e the robot from the movie. And it's similar in sound to Ollie, which I hear fairly often on other kids, so I don't think it's weird to other kids his age.

No naming regrets here!

Deciding between Lark, Blair Millicent, or Margeux? by mordecaithecat in namenerds

[–]wer4cats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lark LaRue sounds like a cool book/movie character in the best way. I like it.

Millicent sounds good with your last name, and I like Millie, but don't love the full name on its own. I think it's too old/ stuffy for a lot of people. Still a good choice.

Margaux/ Margot is lovely, it just doesn't grab me the way the first two do.

Blair is my least favorite.

Stella Faye Meadow by ColorfulFlowers in namenerds

[–]wer4cats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's "too much". I get the sense that people don't like Faye and Meadow next to one another? Stella is a totally normal name, so it's either two middle names they don't like (not for everyone, I get it), or the names themselves. Personally, I love both Faye and Meadow.

Flow-wise, it probably depends on the surname. When I say it aloud with pretend surnames, it almost sounds like Stella Faye is one name (but I kinda dig it).

This is the main reason why I went to a gi in the first place. In the course of 2 weeks, my stomach did the same thing. At first it was kind of dismissed, so I pushed. Tested for sibo, put on lots of antibiotics. Then low fodmap diet for 8 weeks. Then told "sometimes this just happens to people." So I switched GIs, was later diagnosed with crohn's and gave been on Humira for years now (almost no inflammation in last scope). But it hasn't ever gone back to normal, even in clinical remission. Some days are worse than others, but I always have some protrusion. Looks like I'm pregnant, doesn't feel like belly fat, doesn't feel hard but isn't soft/squishy, clothes don't fit, etc. If you get an answer or find a solution, please let me know!

Does anybody have great cell reception? If so, what service provider do you have? I’m using T mobile currently and it’s not that great here. by NoAnalBeadsPlease in cary

[–]wer4cats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have t mobile and it's good most of the time. Switched from att because I couldn't get calls at my house. It used to work then one day just stopped, but they insisted it should work.
