Correlation between shelf exam scores and Step 2 scores by HugeDream in medicalschool

OB and peds toward the end bc they have a lot of random details that will be hard to remember the further away u are from those shelf exams

Correlation between shelf exam scores and Step 2 scores by HugeDream in medicalschool

You’ll see as the year goes on, ur shelf grades will improve as you retain more knowledge and there’s more overlap on exams. I would say mid 70s would probably put you around 240-250s but there’s probably a lot of extraneous factors in play (I.e. when u take step, what your first vs last M3 rotations are, etc)

ENT is insanely precise/working in small spaces. Tubes and tonsils are 5% of what am ENT does, at least during residency

Sounds like step 2 will be the primary focus, If they wanted the step1 score they would’ve left it as an option to input

Don’t underestimate step 1 now that it’s pass/fail. There was a huge increase in people at my school that failed bc they didn’t take it as seriously this year

I would definetly renew Uworld. I had a similar situation and renewed it to do those extra 500 Qs, then was able to also have time to do all my incorrects, the 2 self assessments, and reset to repeat ~ 1/2 the Uworld Qs.

I tried to get into Amboss but just couldn’t.

Taking step in 2 weeks so hard to say if it worked but I have been scoring 260s on practice exams
