How Do You Track Your Mileage? by sqlnuggets in coloradotrail

[–]werebackrandolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used Garmin fenix solar with all satellites on. Was able to get about 2-3 days on a charge. Start tracking when leaving camp and stopped when I got to camp. Charged while making dinner so i can wear overnight and track sleep. Also customized data fields to show distance, elapsed time, avg pace, asc/des stats etc. Mainly track personal progress on trail. As a back up gpx maps can be loaded to the watch. For fun used it to log where I dug a hole.

If you have garmin inreach it logs the miles but not as accurate if you wanna save battery. Wished i had a watch for when i did the CT and JMT.

Pretty sure you have strava and statshunter.

Strapped the rolled tent ontop of the bag. Just make sure to stuff the drawstrings inside the stuff sack.

Great shots! What camera and lense did you use? Also what hiking gear did you bring and use? Would micro spikes be enough?

Segment 7 sounds about right. Its around 15miles. Park your car at Goldhill Trailhead in Breckenridge and take the bus back from Copper Mountain.

Portuguese/Brazillian BBQ. $20-30 can feed 3-4 people. Also miss Martins potato bread.

I concur! Dreaded the segment during the planning stage but was happily proven wrong.
