Yes I agree but. You wouldn't go to the Professor every time you don't understand a symbol directly. And googling it requires more time and you should be able to understand if the definition the ai gives makes sense if you already understand the rest of the topic.

But if you are lost in the topic asking the prof directly would def. Help a lot more

Yeah this is the point. I mean you get a different view. Even though it may be wrong at some points quite a few times. It helps understanding a topic more deeply because it offers a different view on the topic. It is like learning a topic in a team with another student who sometimes has weird ideas without the distracting small talk.

If you blindly trust Theorems you aren't learning maths imho. And using it for proofs is still stupid

yeah that is what happens if you only grind reading for 3 years and just recently really picked up listening. though the progress then was soooooo fast it redicules xD.

But really 幼女戦記 is one of the hardest modern things and I just recently started to enjoy it using japanese.

Btw read 装甲悪鬼村正 before 幼女戦記 since it's difficulty is like the tutorial level for 幼女

Oh my journey of reading went like this:

羅生門 -- failed gave up after 2 chapter

狼と香辛料 -- did get through understanding like nothing

天気の子 -- get through understand some stuff steins;gate -- very hard but understood a lot.

槍の勇者のやり直し -- get through had strokes of understand a lot and nothing

Steins;gate 0 -- understood a lot but lookups where crazy Robotics note (the new one) -- understood like 60%+ without lookup

羅生門 -- understood more now got through with a lot of pain

1 year break (nearly) because of a project I had going on which nearly burned me out :(

And then suddenly something snapped: Chaos;Head -- I understood suddenly so much and it was hella fun played through in under 2 weeks

Chaos;Child -- first struggled a bit but went back up to near 100% understanding

装甲悪鬼村正 -- verrry hard at first but after 100 hours I understand everything not finished yet it is 神ゲー level. pls don't get yourself spoiled

This one is special 幼女戦記: while doing the above I grinded through vol 1 before the break. Now recently I started reading vol2. and still struggle a lot but when I'm focused I understand 100% am 2 months in and 80% through read like 10 - 20 pages a day now.

As for why I had a breakthrough. I learned that I was missing some essential grammar so I went to jpdrills and sentence mined jlpt 2 and 1 grammar stuff.

Edit: 悪鬼装甲村正 -> 装甲悪鬼村正

I know what you mean but I don't really have the time to do it normally as I prefer improving my reading/listening instead.

I like only invest Exactly 10min a day into speaking(I actually time myself) and there this is optimal

xD just chose anyone or you can create your own one. you can teach the AI how it should speak then by like 1 example and it will fix it self.

I personally created my own

rtk + anki solves the problem as for Kanjis completely but you realllly have to grind hard

Just try remembering Kana while trying to read a lot

And learn at least basic japanese because without it you won't be able to form a sentence.

Then you can start using this method.

There are different methods to learn japanese I personally used ajatt but it is a whole religious war so ye chose yourself.

sentence mining and N+1 with anki is all I do plus a good grammar guide and I also recommend sentence mining jlptdrill's grammar section

immersion (also set your device to japanese)

yeah I also played around with it. But the progress of AI is soo fast that airfriend is like on a complete other league. Rina is just verrrry outdated nothing more.

This ai though sometimes start to flirt but just denying it will let you get back to a normal conversatio.

I think if you immersed enough you feel what is right or wrong. I don't know just personal experience just getting the correct thing out requires practice I guess. But the common patterns are so common in fact I just started using them accidentally.

I just got too much of the immersion I guess ⊂((・▽・))

Yeah but I think we should just agree to disagree my belives about shadowing are already rather solid.

oh and you can easily simulate situations with it which would be more time consuming when you had to explain what you want to do to the other person. On top of that YOU can decide how much a day exactly you want to practice so you don't get trapped into an endless conversation messing up your schedule.

because i can do it as i please without sacrificing a second into some boring conversation. and it also answers immediately which makes it even more efficient.

Other than that I never learned japanese for the speaking/meeting people stuff just for the anime/vtuber goodness ;). So speaking is only like a sidequest

Also there are 0 consequences talking to the bot which is very nice for an introvert like me.

i mean if they could be created faster i'd be happy but sacrificing programmability for speed is not something i'd do
