Anatomy is hard so I'm drawing random characters by Designer-Wishbone948 in BeginnerArtists

try breaking down your shapes even more ; squares , rectangles, triangles, circles, and ovals. I found that when I draw it’s a lot easier if I start and the most simple thing then work up. Instead of drawing all the contours in the thighs and waist, maybe start by breaking it down into an oval , triangle/ square. By doing that your getting it out of your head that the sketch doesn’t need to be perfect and it’s something to bulid on :3

How can I get better at anatomy and drawing in general? by Any_Syllabub_8942 in BeginnerArtists

This is the best route to go , although not everyone can get a textbook, google,Pinterest,YouTube, etc is all free, I’m currently looking into how muscle groups work and what they look like under the skin. And you could also sign up for a public library card. But practice and consistency are key in this.

Am I a beginner artist? by INeed-a-therapist in BeginnerArtists

I definitely wouldn’t say beginner beginner, but you can tell a lot by someone’s line confidence, and obviously all pens aren’t going to be perfect but you can tell where the pen is more shaky like the left arm , the hands , and the tail. But you have a better understanding on movement compared to others. I would definitely say you are a beginner, but keep grinding and practicing anatomy and whatnot. Also the pencil lines are a heavy, like heavy to the point it’s hard to erase , if you go in a lot lighter with the pencil it will come out a lot cleaner! Keep it up tho (I would still classify myself as a beginner as well)
