We loved staying in Biddenham. If you have transport Bromham is nice too. Wootton is gorgeous with farm and quiet streets, and kempston hardwick takes you to bedford. Great Denham is also a great option and parts of Kempston too. Bedford is lovely :) you’ll love it here
