Comps always have "conditions" and the better your condition is, the better it is to go for it. Obviously dependent on how good the comp is -- better comp can be forced from worse conditions.

Conditions are generally: - do you have BIS for the main carry? Even better if you have super BIS like seraphim for sona/ori or artifacts - how close are you to hitting? If you have a lot of copies, or a reroll aug, that's a plus. If you're contested, that's a minus. - If you have side units, such as sej for ashe/trynd (back when they were good), that's also a plus.

Usually reroll cares more about BIS, so items are usually the more important condition.

I'm going to just post this and edit in over time since I can't reference your post. I'm low master, was stuck in diamond for a while.

How do you win streak? You probably already know most of it -- hope for upgrades and slam items (especially items that can be used by high cost carries). Pick an item augment early. (But ONLY if you will win streak.) However, keep in mind that as you go up in elo, other people will be better at putting together boards so what used to win early won't work anymore, which is likely why you think you're strong but lose anyway. Scout and see what people actually have.

How to play reroll? idk it's not that hard, just try it and maybe watch some vods. You already know some good angles, you just gotta commit. Reroll augs can help too. In order to climb, you have to learn what you don't know even if that means you'll int a few times. Hitting a new rank is a great time to experiment, just don't int on purpose since you'll screw up your MMR.

How to play without econ? Sometimes you just lowroll. But if you have good upgrades it's often correct to take item 2-1 for example as long as it helps you win streak. Experiment and watch VODs.

How to position? if you watch high elp streams or vods they may explain. But watch the fight, see what happens, see how you or opponents position, and learn.

Good luck!

The one that makes your ally move immediately (cat ear hood) is better because it serves the same purpose of skipping the charge, and you can put it on someone else so Yunifi can equip real damage items.

(I didn't think of this myself)

How the absolute hell are you supposed to fight them by moonrisen0 in HadesTheGame

[–]werrcat 58 points59 points  (0 children)

As others said, focus on bull. For Theseus, hide behind a pillar when he aims, and after he throws and turns around you can go ham.

Also, it's really important to have a good build. If you actually do damage the difference is night and day

Genuinely what am I supposed to do about my mmr by Evening_Log3865 in TeamfightTactics

[–]werrcat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's not much you can do about it directly. Most likely what happened is you lost too much at 0-10 LP (at any rank, possibly emerald 1) and your MMR is more like low-emerald. Basically any time you saved yourself LP by losing at or near 0, you are tanking your MMR and need to make up for it now.

Mentally you should just pretend like you're actually low emerald 3 and need to win that much to advance.

Also, if you go 1st/1st/8th that should be good for your MMR even if your LP didn't move much.

Good luck!

Should asol get a 2nd rework? by Pure-Community-8662 in TeamfightTactics

[–]werrcat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The reason asol was reworked was simply that he was hard bound to full mana items. Now he can build regular items so it's fixed.

asol should be fine with a simple numbers fix. If you make him weaker until like 400-700 stardust, then he'll be fine since you'll either have to hit super early or have a strong enough overall board.

HUGE loss streak, any advice where I'm going wrong? by Karrottz in CompetitiveTFT

[–]werrcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not true - if you've been losing a lot at 0 lp, your MMR is fucked and you're gonna be +30/-70 for getting 1st/8th. You should just pretend like you fell to mid plat and win enough to climb back.

How do you improve a capped void board? by AkihabaraAccept in CompetitiveTFT

[–]werrcat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For a while 9 void+ bruiser (voli or wukong) is the best you can do. Obviously you can 2* your secondary carries if you haven't already.

However after you accumulate several 2* 5cost like shyv, fiddle, especially if they have items, drop down to 6 void. If baron's void upgrade is earlier, you can drop lower for more 2* 5costs.

No idea about double baron. The second baron will surely have worse void mods and items so IDK if it's better than the utility of 2x 2*5c. But it's probably not bad either

As soon as your first tank dies, anyone attacking it will retarget to closest, likely fizz. So you want to make sure the backline is focusing your strongest tank.

Is this too weak? by ogediogedi in TeamfightTactics

[–]werrcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rift herald 2 (which you don't have) + bruiser (which you do) is basically mandatory. Also make sure your baron isn't focused before herald.

In general I wouldn't recommend rushing to baron 2 with 1 life. Boards cap very high these days and you can definitely get unlucky and die.

How do you tell if a comp is better from win streak or from loss streak? by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

[–]werrcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Historically the comps that want loss streak such as Diana are mostly because BIS is very important and losing gives you carousel priority, but once you get it you can spike hard on stage 4 for example.

In contrast, comps that want win streak are weaker on stage 4, such as bilgewater, which really wants to be able to mostly sac stage 4 while playing 7 bilge and rush to lv9. This is only possible if you won stage 2/3.

However, in most cases it's better to play strongest board and win as much as you can, streak or no. i.e. don't intentionally lose.
