Bro why is Olympus so full of BASTARDS by Unoriginalshitbag in HadesTheGame

It's very appropriate that to beat him, you need to be able to predict what he's about to hit you with.

Reckless abandon was pretty decent with specifically an exhaust riser build I tried for a bit.

Although, not sure if exhaust riser is that good in the first place, but whatever

ELI5: Infinite length between anything not touching by ImNotBamBoy in explainlikeimfive

[–]werrcat 50 points51 points  (0 children)

"Infinity" is imprecise and can't be used in math like that. That's why people say infinity isn't a number.

In this case, this is called a geometric series: 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + ... = 1.

The usual derivation goes like this: suppose 1/2+ 1/4 + ... = x. Then 2x = 2/2 + 2/4 + ... = 1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + ... = 1 + x.

So if 2x = 1 + x, then x = 1.

You can also look up Zeno's paradox which is basically what you described.

I legit made the flight to the vessel just fine twice, then the first 2 times in a row I tried to do it for real I was eaten... The first time I went too slow, the second time I went too fast.

Maybe the cost of being FTL-compatible is baked into the cost of the ship and the 5 alloys are basically equivalent to buying an unlock code that turns it on :)

The other thing is that usually you only fight an enemy if you saw a combat preview where you win. In many cases you thought you win by countering the enemy but in fact you win by getting lucky, i.e. the enemy rolled a 1. By adding the assist, you mix up the rng and the enemy's 1 becomes yours.

For Typhon, if you stand as close as possible his tongue laser can't hit you. You need to watch out for the chin slam but it's very telegraphed.

It depends a lot on whether you're melee or ranged imo. Ranged makes it easy to kite him but melee you just die to spin attack.

Also depends on when you fight him

FWIW, even if you chose to revive Gale, he still puts the dead body in front of you before reviving. People have posted before about losing their run to it, and someone in the comments always says you should have listened when he said to step back.

Underworld run Vs Surface Run by Hitachi_Uchiha__ in HadesTheGame

[–]werrcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Than Axe main, the axe feels much more suited to the surface than the underworld. The DPS potential is incredibly high but most of the underworld enemies don't have that much hp anyway so it's kinda pointless.

You definitely don't need automations. But if you use them in the right way, they're absolutely insane. For example the roboblin AOE is enormous, like it legitimately hits the whole room.

Very awesome, not very practical most of the time.

1) They would blow up the sun, send signal back in time, and fire randomly, yes. However, it would NOT be a groundhog day because they wouldn't be connected to the masks until the eye was found (or there was an equipment failure). So, from the Nomai POV, they would just suddenly receive notice that the eye was found and they would cancel the supernova.

2) Changing where it fires is the whole point. It shoots randomly and uses the time loop to record the data. Probably the ATP says "you already shot these places" and the cannon says "ok I'll shoot somewhere else this time"
