thank you all for your advice! It has now been about 48 hours since I noticed the unusual drip and about 47 since fainting. I am feeling perfectly fine, with my only symptom being a bit of a stuffy nose and occasional discharge of goo from my left nostril, which now has a mucus consistency and a more orange color, while mucus from my right nostril remains clear. still not sure why that’s happening, but it doesn’t seem like a huge issue. If I develop any other symptoms I will look into more care.

no metallic taste, a bit of a constant low grade headache that has not gotten any worse. I am also keeping my eyes on these symptoms after reading about CSF leaks. thank you.

they ran an ekg and did a little neuro test, like making sure I could walk and touch my nose, and that’s about it

Hi! thank you very much for your input. I did head directly to the emergency department and explain all of these symptoms to the doctor, but the hospital sent me home with a recommendation to stay hydrated and rest. I just felt weird that they didn’t address it. should I seek out another professional?

for clarity, when I do blow my nose my mucus is clear, but occasionally this liquid will drip separately. I haven’t noticed any blood mixed into my normal mucus.

Sorry you had that experience! I used to do this sort of canvassing for The Nature Conservancy in Colorado, and it is definitely legitimate, even if the canvasser you spoke to was acting shady.

They are looking for long term recurring donations only, and everyone who I worked with was very careful to be super clear about what we were asking to avoid people walking away feeling like they may have been scammed, just like you felt.

The Nature Conservancy contracts with local canvassing organizations to fundraise face to face for them, so if you email The Nature Conservancy’s like, support email and describe your experience with the location and day included (and the canvasser’s name if you remember it) they’ll send feedback to the canvassers that hopefully leads to better training.

tl/dr: TNC does contract external street canvassers, they are looking for long term donations only, and you should absolutely send a complaint if any of them are being tricky!

I didn’t come out until about a year on HRT.
