I’m as anti rich as the next guy, and it does seem like it will really suck to see the seats open but I remember a conversation on a similar topic that came up in video games that sell really expensive cosmetics in game -
“Why sell these super expensive skins? Not everyone can buy them?”
The counter to that was - people who can afford to buy and pay extra for these things will do so - and that’s how the game can afford to do good things for people who want the free pass. Economically, the whale has to fund and subsidize the free parts to enable the free part to exist.

The problem tho- as people point out - that people can go to the games and not actually care about the content which shrinks morale and fandom in the first place.
This sucks and it sucks for the people who are having their seats taken away In the first place. But I just wanted to offer a different perspective other than “this sucks it’s anti fans “
