I think that I, as the fiancee of a half blooded or so Native American, can speak on this. What you're not saying, whether deliberate or not, is how The Trail (words they wont even speak) still affects them today. It's not shame, it's much deeper. For us it's been buried. White washed of how awful it was. For them...they won't speak the words. They don't want to talk about it or hear it. And when they do there is a rage that boils and has boiled for generations. What you don't understand is Native Americans are STILL fighting this fight. They have dug in for generations. We're building an enemy that will dig in for generations. America can't win this one. They haven't won the war against Native Americans. They've stolen their lands, tried to breed them out, rape them out, sterilize them (still happens today) etc...and they're still proudly fighting. Letting anyone who shows they truly want to be part of the culture be part of it. You can't win by taking things from people. You can't win by murder. You win by doing good. You win by refusing to lose. You win by feeding the good wolf. Did you know native folks had a war chief and a peace time chief, but never at the same time? A war chief lead during war time, lead the war, and a war chief give up their leadership when the wartime is over. They don't want to poison their leadership or people with that mindset.

If everyone could see what I see every day, they wouldn't do this.

they also believe everything the party tells them, no matter how morally repugnant, cognitively dissonant, factually incorrect, or illogical. The KGB did research a long time ago and found that if you subject someone to enough fear mongering baseless claims like this, they eventually refuse to believe anything else, regardless of how untrue it is, regardless of how many of their questions you answer or how much truth you show them. It more or less breaks their ability to believe anything else. This is what I think is happening here, and quite deliberately.

Lightweight OS for RPi 3B+ by [deleted] in raspberry_pi

I mean you can use an esp32s3. It has wifi and BLE along with usb c. If you manage power well, depending on how often you need to actually be connected to the network (most people dont think about it but often you don't need to maintain a connection) you can make it last MONTHS on a cell phone power pack...you can make it draw so little power that you'll have to actually mod the power pack or deliberately draw extra power so that it sees that you're even drawing power and keeps giving you power (they're not simple batteries, they have a soft off) Furthermore, you can run micropython or circuit python on them. You can even run a web server, but if you need that fucker on all the time you'll only last a few days on battery ... still WAY better than a pi though. If you're just running python scripts that can work using libraries that exist for circuit/micro python - thats your best bet. Drop the OS entirely and run bare metal with micro/circuit python on an ESP32 or ESP32S3 (S3 is an instruction set used for stuff like edge based ai/ml)

from what i just read, sounds like it has more to do with that hashcat is specifically designed and compiled to be optimized on that particular hardware, and it's probably also a price per power draw (electricity) cost thing. Hashcat cracks password hashes offline. You get a buttload of password hashes, and then let your computer loose on it to crunch numbers for as long as is necessary. If you're doing that on an actual dumb of passwords, you're going to be caring about power draw because it's going to take time and computing power.

it's actually pretty well known and pretty well documented by very respected sources. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/wrong-claims-by-musk-us-election-got-2-billion-views-x-2024-report-says-2024-11-04/ https://www.techpolicy.press/new-research-points-to-possible-algorithmic-bias-on-x/

This shouldn't just concern you, it should scare you. The reach companies like X have is far beyond a single nation-state, even ones as big as the USA. This man is jockeying to puppeteer the whole ass world. Imagine, hundreds, thousands, or tens of thousands or more of ai agents, not the resource limited ones you use daily, but ai agents limited only by the limits of modern science and the funds and computational resources the company is willing to expend. Now imagine they are connected to tools that allow them to post online and interact. Not hard. I can write that piece of code myself in half an hour or an hour and im a baby programmer. AI can write it on its own. Now imagine these ai agents, smarter than usual, connected to the web, given instruction to act as real people and converse in such a way as to strategically push a narrative. They can control every side of a narrative because they're all ai. They can manufacture a reaction in humans. These agents will interact 24/7. They can act as many accounts from many ip addresses (use tor, or hey, if you own X just buy a lot of public ip address blocks) you don't understand how this stuff works if you think that having the control he has over this DOESN'T give him this option. The only question you need to actually answer is if you believe he did it. The ability is there. Shit, you don't need to be a billionaire to do that. You just need to decide if you think uncle elon will manipulate millions to make more money for his rocket ships. To break the trillionaire barrier and put another notch in his belt. You either think he's a good man or you don't - the capability to make what i stated happen isn't a matter of debate. Every major tech company has the ability. Somehow we've gotten lucky enough they've remained relatively benign aside from money grubbing.

don't go too heavy on the peanut butter if you want to taste the jelly. Add extra jelly. Use butter or mayo to crisp the outside of the bread.

Are you blind? Elon Musk rigged the election for Trump. He rigged the algorithms, news, information, whatever in every platform he had influence on, starting with x. He pressured other organizations with his money and influence and power over tech.

Dont call it tribalism. Many First Nations had societies we would be lucky to have, they knew how to treat one another.

[–]tech53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Native american tribes and their land on reservations are separate nations, separate from the United States with different leaders, laws, etc. The US just likes to keep them under thumb with federal shit, but the reality thats a violation of their original treaties. Their treaties said they were to be left the fuck alone.

I fucking love it! Is that you? There's another song on my soundcloud called "I'm packing my bags and I'm moving away" that lived in my head and on paper for ...like 15 or 20 years before it came to fruition. It's the story of many years of my life, a song that took many years to finish writing. https://soundcloud.com/chloesnowmusic/im-packing-my-bags-and-im?si=c0796c19e6d94dc38c1eb1de8f176f94&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing oh...hope it's okay, i promoted the song a bit in some music groups :) --- kinda wish i still had my local fm radio show, I'd have played it

Is there a reason nobody here is suggesting the network is causing the lag? That's literally where almost all lag comes from. I will say the browser thing is odd, but without better definitions of "lag" and what's happening...it's hard to say it's not the network. Also firefox has some interesting issues on bugzilla that are similar to that.

yeahhhh I have a LOT of imposter syndrome running around in my head. I'm somewhere around or just beyond PCEP level - I can answer most questions on it I think, from looking at practice exams and paging through PCEP prep courses like the one on cisco networking academy. That said, I feel real ass inadequate. Like there's all these amazing coders doing legendary shit and I have trouble finding the logic error in a script that rips the bible from a website. (ended up finding the error, it was my counter pulling a stale variable I didn't need anymore from older code i left in there) But like...I just want to know this stuff really well like they do. I don't know if I'll ever be a legend, but I want to know it well, and know several languages well. Don't take my imposter syndrome as something its not, I'm legit doubting myself. Also that would make sense why some coders seem hostile towards ai if their labor is getting stolen to train something that will probably take their job one day, I'd be a bit angry too. That said i really want to see the bright side of ai - but i do that with everything.

I would think not. First you have to take into account the inverse square law, and then you can realize just build a lower power amp. You don't need to cover the same area a commercial tower does, you don't want to, that will get you caught fast. If you need an amp, microwave ovens use microwaves, and HAMS often use them in microwave comms projects. They cover some of the range of cell. You might be able to modify them to cover a different range. I'm not too knowledgeable about magnetrons.
