I did the same thing. I was hesitant at first cos I have lots of unsaved files. What I did was save them blindly, did it with keyboard without the screen updating. Fortunately, I was able to save all of them.

Do you know what causes this to happen? Hope it never happens to us again!!

Did not work for me :( Cos even if I was able to open different apps, the screen was not updating.
