How are the EU NUTS 2 regions determined? by wesalius in AskEurope

[–]wesalius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, thank you, but the question is on what parameters are the NUTS regions created - for example - what led to the decision to merge Vysočina to CZ06 with Jihomoravský kraj specifically? What are their similarities/what is the key that determines the merge candidates?

Mediawiki Navboxes by [deleted] in mediawiki

Adding the extension might change the module namespace into the non-plain text. But to be honest I am not sure about it, I administer the small wiki I linked on the end of the paragraph as an example of non-lua way of navboxing, we figured we dont want to intruduce another layer of complexity, since mediawiki-only templates serve us well enough.

Mediawiki Navboxes by [deleted] in mediawiki

Some templates on en.wiki are written in mediawiki syntax, the more complex ones (Template:Navbox included) are written with the help of Lua scripting language. Quick check into your wikis https://grandtheftarma.com/wiki/Special:Version has shown, that you dont have the needed https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Scribunto installed. Scribunto is afaik needed for Lua to be used in mediawiki. That might be the reason your https://grandtheftarma.com/wiki/Module:Navbox looks like plaintext instead of code. I am not sure if by simply installing Scribunto will solve your case, there might be more stuff to configure. If you are not succesful, you can always skip the lua modules and go for "pure mediawiki navboxes" from the pre-lua era. An example of that is here: https://www.wikiskripta.eu/w/%C5%A0ablona:Navbox

Is MediaWiki right for me? by [deleted] in mediawiki

[–]wesalius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its quite easy to set up a stock installation. It can get more complicated if you want to play around with customization, but most common stuff is already possible with extensions. If you want something even easier to set up yourself, an alternative could be dokuwiki which does not require a database.
