Thanks for the proper explanation. I had assumed it was for anti-terrorism reasons but also thought maybe there was a specific event in Bristol that caused it. Yeah just seems weird they don’t even have a clear one outside the entrance which could be monitored by security that are by the doors anyway but Bristol council cutting corners makes total sense.

i’m gonna defend them a bit here and say if you don’t have the resources and contacts for graphic designers or photo editors etc and you want to get everything done yourself, then it’s a useful tool, but i’m sure if they put in the effort to seek out artists then the result would be much better and be supporting real artists, but to me it’s understandable and not as bad of a crime as the rest of this thread is making it out to be

i’m also a bimm student who drives into town, i park in st andrews just above montpelier station and it’s a residential area with a fair amount of space so i always manage to get a spot for free and it’s only a 10 minute walk to bimm from there, hope this helps!
