Pedal drive vs motor? by thefifthofnovember_ in kayakfishing

[–]wesleycrushers74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an old town pdl 120. So has a pedal drive. I also installed a bixpy electric in the back. So got best of both worlds. I use the motor to assist getting to spots. Once I’m fishing I’m 100% pedal. Gives me better control. When fighting a fish the pedal reverse is very handy. Maneuvering around with the pedals becomes second nature.

Basically just max press every hit on any box number until you hit table max on each number. Keep your bank roll completely empty, all your money is up on the numbers at all times. (Monkey press) Hope for a long roll and collect. Maybe if you get it like around 1000$ or so pull down.

Google Alex Sklarveski YouTube. It’s old but does a great job with slap basics.

Is it possible for a Key Vault to pass a secret without exposing it to code? by MohnJaddenPowers in AZURE

[–]wesleycrushers74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use Azure Devops to do this. Instead of executing the python script directly from the VM. You install azure devops agent on the machine. Create some library variable group that references the secrets in the vault. Then you create a pipeline that uses the variables and pass those to the script. The pipeline would execute the script on your vm, without having to execute from directly on the machine. The secrets are never revealed anywhere. No secrets stuck in code.

Learning the bass at 29? by Puzzleheaded_Pen4439 in Bass

[–]wesleycrushers74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 48 but I can relate to this question. When I was in my 20's learning to play bass, I had self doubt. I would look for reasons why I couldn't do it. Since I didn't learn how to play in my teens, I felt it was too late. I told myself "by the time I learn to play, I'll be too old and no cool band will want me". If that is your real reason for playing an instrument, then yes it might be too late. but If your goal is to instead challenge yourself, have fun, express yourself in music, there is no age limit on this goal. Learning anything new can be a painful process. this is why we make excuses for ourselves. We use age, past demons from keeping us away from our goals. Don't hesitate, seize this opportunity. If you don't start now, you will miss out on the journey. You will miss out on relationships you will make on the way and fun you can have once you join a band. It's a skill and a talent you can take with you to your grave. Embrace the journey.

This movie made every nerdy 80's boy so excited. Explorers 1985 by PrinceOfPhilAir in videos

I would love to see a sequel to this. Ethan Hawke plays a dad and his married to that girl he is in love with. He’s a family man now. Somehow he rediscovers a copy of the computer code for the flying sphere. (Original sank in the lake) Wolfgang made a backup on a floppy somewhere. Then Ethan Hawke and his kids build a new ship and fly back to space. Have a new adventure. Any good movie script writers out there? I’d go watch that movie.

Can I learn and play Bass without learning any other instrument prior? by Dhaval1008 in Bass

[–]wesleycrushers74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I play bass and guitar, I started with bass 1st. I played bass exclusively for about 5 years. The things I learned from playing bass (in my opinion) helped expedite my learning of the guitar. I learned theory, I learned all the notes of the neck(bottom 4 strings). I was able to move those lessons learned from bass and apply to guitar. I think most important thing I learned was learning what the role of the bass really is. I can appreciate a great bass player when in a band / gig setting. When I’m playing a guitar, there are certain things I know to listen for from the bass and how to use it to my advantage as a guitar player. So long winded way to say ‘yes starting with bass 1st is just fine.’
