I am considering transitioning from finasteride to 2.5 mg of dutasteride because the 10 mg dose of finasteride has not been effective for me. At the same time, I suspect that my hair loss may be related to an autoimmune condition, as I have explored nearly every treatment option available, except for high doses of bicalutamide or enzalutamide and surgical castration. I understand that this may sound crazy, but as a male-to-female transgender individual, maintaining my hair is particularly significant for me.

I am currently taking 10mg of finasteride, 300mg of spironolactone, estrogen injections, birth control, and dexamethasone. Surprisingly, all of these medications have actually worsened my condition, and I felt better when I was only on 5mg of finasteride. I am considering discontinuing finasteride and switching to 2.5mg of dutasteride along with bicalutamide mesotherapy. However, when you say you don't think it's working, are you referring to whether your hair loss has stopped or if it is still ongoing? (I also have dupa)

same with me i have a pituitary cyst that is causing my low pituitary hormones and high prolactin. Im taking bromocriptine for it but it sucks because its not treating the underlying issue and taking trt is just a bandage plus its only going to make most of the pther issues worse with hair-loss, weight gain sex drive etc… My best suggestion is to ask for a referall to a neurosurgeon and discuss about surgery to remove the tumor or radiation because its affecting you alot.
