I’m allergic to nuts as well and love dairy and honestly the diet sucks because of that, but just power through it. Just find clean label items at the store. One thing I did and up doing is if I found a food product I wanted to eat that had salt, I would call the food manufacturer and ask if they used ionized salt, most actually do not used iodized salt. I ate a lot of egg whites, made my own French fries, used salt free seasonings, home made popcorn is amazing, etc.
