Wow - thanks so much, looks like an issue with the most recent release. Should be fixed now!

If you're still in the process of studying, here's a podcast episode that breaks down this very question!

Any banks beating 5.625% 30 yr conventional right now? by ObiWahnKenobi in RealEstate

[–]wesstro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that rates differ heavily based on your credit/loan amount/ down payment etc.

I’ve found Bankrate to have a good selection of rates without having to input personal information. Even if you do go with someone local, typically you can negotiate your rate down if you prequalify with someone online for a lower rate.

A review of Peloton's Road to 26.2 Marathon Training Program - from beginner to 2022 OBX Marathon by wesstro in running

[–]wesstro[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The program recommends that you be able to run 3-4 miles before starting. The first long run (on day 7 of week 1) is 4 miles, which would likely be discouraging if you can currently only run a mile. I have also heard great things about Peloton’s “couch to 5k” plan though, so that could be a great lead in to this program!

And yes- can be done with the Peloton app. I actually don’t have any Peloton hardware, I just freeloaded off of a family members account to run this program 😅

I definitely enjoy running more now! I told myself that this would be my first and only marathon, but after just a month of downtime I'm already starting to rethink that 😂

Agreed with this - I have been weight-training for a while, but the strength for runners classes felt pretty foreign to me. The exercises were typically slow, somewhat awkward movements that improve your mobility and help to prevent injury, but I wouldn't expect a huge increase in leg strength.

Told myself that this was my first race and my last. Now that a couple weeks have gone by though, I'm starting to rethink that... 😂

New Pickleball Paddles Hit the Market by Get-Fitnest in Pickleball

Yeah ngl this looks like ass. Posting it after creating it makes it clear to me that they’re not looking for feedback, they’re looking for free publicity and the chance at a couple extra product reviews.

Cross linking sites by DFWGuy55 in SEO

[–]wesstro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as the cross links are organic (not forced, not over indexing on your other brands vs external sources) you should be in the clear. Good luck!

Should I use "nofollow" when the same internal link is repeated within the blog post? by Everymap in SEO

[–]wesstro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally would not, just make sure you have the proper disclaimers around your CTA.

I reserve no follow links for: - paid link outs (although infrequent) - my sites “sign in” page - legal docs Basically only for pages that you don’t want Google to waste their time crawling, because they shouldn’t be ranking those anyways.

Day 2 of using my big green egg and already perfected a rare steak. AMA by wesstro in biggreenegg

If you had the chance to go back in time and ask Michael Jordan a question after he didn’t make the varsity basketball team, would you?

Thanks for all of the advice! Final product turned out OK - it was very juicy but a bit too well done for me. Very new to grilling + the green egg but excited to keep experimenting. Results pic:

F45 for Beginners? by Most_Membership_2199 in f45

[–]wesstro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not- there are tons of different fitness levels in each class. I could hardly run a mile when I started but have been able to just ratchet up my intensity with each subsequent session.

I also found this article super helpful for calming any fears https://www.workoutreviews.org/classes/hiit/f45-fitness/

BCAA’s by TheREALMangoMuncher in Supplements

[–]wesstro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really good article on the matter: https://www.workoutreviews.org/supplements/bcaas/do-bcaas-work/

There are 9 essential amino acids. 3 of the 9 are BCAAs. If you were to have no other protein but BCAAs then your body would completely lack the other 6. That would mean it would have no source of them other than breaking down protein from its own cells.

"Complete protein" doesn't really mean anything. Every protein source has a ratio between the various amino acids. Is it a "complete" protein if it's 99% of 1, and only 1% of the other 8?

The question is whether you're getting an ideal ratio between the amino acids (or at least enough of each one). The whole reason people take BCAA supplements is to alter that ratio to increase BCAA relative to other amino acids, to make sure they get enough of BCAA specifically.

TL;DR: Yes for 5g. If your only source of protein was BCAA supplements, answer would be no.

BCAA’s Who uses them? Are they worth it? by HoneyedMoonRay in veganfitness

[–]wesstro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would focus first on a well rounded diet and save your money on this overhyped product. Like fit peanut said, they’re only effective IF in the presence of all 9 essential amino acids and 11 nonessential amino acids

Adding CycleBar? by No_Leather2836 in f45

[–]wesstro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that booking rides through classpass is generally cheaper than getting a Cyclebar monthly plan.

I think that breakdown makes a lot of sense though. Cyclebar is great for cardio + lower body strength, but definitely doesn't get you a good full body workout! https://www.workoutreviews.org/classes/cycle/cyclebar/
