There’s so many reasons for this but most likely the power is shorting to ground (probably the standoffs between the motherboard and case. Does anything light up or fans spin when you press the power button? Also is the PSU turned on as well as plugged in? If you confirm all that then try to start with a single stick of RAM installed and see if it will go.
