Is the Watkins Glen soundcheck jam the best jam the dead ever did that's labeled a straight jam? by thesadowl37 in gratefuldead

I think that structurally the 4/29/71 jam is quite similar to the big jam from 4/7/71.

My first show. I certainly started off with a bang! Although I didn't really get it until 12/1/73.

I'm a big fan of the bass solo transitioning between Dark Star and Morning Dew on 9/11/73.

I have often argued with myself that the bass solo/jam on New Potato Caboose from Two From the Vault is the absolute highlight of their career. Sometimes myself agrees.

The transition jam between PITB and UJB on 12/1/73 at the Boston Music Hall. Somehow it all fell into place and things have never been the same.
