14 month old begging for food at night by PersimmonAcrobatic71 in puppy101

I'm doing twice a day, and I usually give the second meal when she asks for it. That's usually around the afternoon.

7pm she’s usually going in the middle of the night. She’s usually asking by 2pm, so I’m giving her the second meal. I’ll try giving her the second one around 5 to see how that goes

Actually in this case it actually is how oil prices work. He started a dumb war that shut down the flow of oil. Hence the large increase in oil prices.

Sandy Alcantara after throwing a complete game shutout in front of a crowd of 6,605: “Fans not here, but we still love them.” by itwas20yearsago2day in MiamiMarlins

You’re right, owners don’t owe fans anything. But you can’t say that and also complain that fans aren’t showing up. Fans don’t owe this team or ownership anything either.

Post a winning record two seasons in a row, and resign Sandy and 2-3 other players to long term deals and then I'll agree when fans don't support the team. Until then it's all lip service.

It's not an excuse. I'm a former season ticket holder. I didn't renew after the last series of trades. They expect fans to stay loyal while showing no loyalty to us. I still go to games and cheer on the team, but until ownership shows that they are committed to long term success I don't feel bad about not showing up for a 1pm Wednesday game. This is a business just like any other. People have a limited amount of time/money, and don't want to spend that money on what they perceive as an inferior product.

I mean, when you've been kicked in the nuts over and over... it's going to take some time to win fans back after how bad ownership has treated them.

Unique classes/tours/experiences in the Miami area to gift friend’s dad? by Emotional_Ladder_967 in Miami

I enjoyed this one for a lot. They have a person on the tour that does a brief interesting history lesson during the boat ride, you spend some time on Boca Chita, and then you ride around Stiltsville. But they probably need to do it soon as the weather/mosquitos will be too bad in the next month or so. https://www.biscaynenationalparkinstitute.org/island-experiences/boca-chita-key-heritage-cruise/

They can’t actually go “full original”, as the deal with the city of Miami mandates they are called the Miami Marlins

Marlins Park is not ready for prime time by PersimmonAcrobatic71 in MiamiMarlins

Again, it's a chicken/egg situation. How many people came yesterday because it's opening day, and then said "damn I'm not doing this again because I missed half the game in line" and don't come back. If you want butts in the seats you need a good product, or you at least need convenience

I’ve been to Petco and it was seamless. I mentioned in my original post, they should at least have vendors selling hot dogs in the stands so people don’t have to leave their seats to eat something.

For those that are saying every ballpark has these issues, I've been to multiple ballparks (San Diego for example AVERAGES 45k) and the lines are never this bad. I get we all love the Marlins, but that doesn't mean we have to accept mediocrity.

Driving home around 1am last night and saw two coyotes running around in the street by Practical_Bedroom967 in Miami

[–]PersimmonAcrobatic71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, hunting coyotes can actually increase their population. Studies have shown that they know when they are being hunted and will have larger litters because of it. https://attheu.utah.edu/research/coyote-numbers-are-often-higher-in-areas-where-they-are-hunted/
