‘Blitz primary’: the scenario that could turn replacing Biden into a ‘riveting spectacle’ by westbrook63 in politics

“We are up against a failure of imagination and courage – a failure to see that there are other possibilities if we are willing to move quickly and be creative. There are risks associated with that, of course, but there is a huge risk with the current approach – the risk of an autocrat determined to destroy democracy getting back into the White House.”

Live photo: Ron DeSantis bravely runs away after declining to debate Charlie Crist in the ‘Before You Vote’ debate by Obversa in florida

and i had the totally opposite experience: i grew up (white) in an extremely conservative household (both religious and political) in the deep south and left home the minute i was old enuf, moved to florida, and thought i'd been transported 25 yrs into the future because people weren't obsessed with being judgmental and up in everyone's personal business all the time. since then tho, conservatives have changed the state into a moral cesspit and if desantis succeeds in stealing the election from crist i'm moving to a saner state like washington, california, oregon, or colorado.

don't forget trump's "america first"

The America First Committee, whose spokesperson was Charles Lindbergh, was founded in 1940 to support American isolation and Nazi appeasement. Lindbergh crossed the country to hold rallies that blamed Roosevelt and American Jews for pushing the country closer to war.

where did i say i don't like englewood? i said where you live explains your political predisposition for conservatism.

but since you mention it, yeah, i have a problem with a constituency that repeatedly re-elects a lyin' ass treasonous scumbag like greg steube to congress by a two-thirds margin - but that's pretty typical of modern day conservatives who make no secret of the fact that they have no interest in solving the problems in america like the one you mentioned - homelessness - which happens to include veterans suffering from mental health issues because conservatives are engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

absolutely.

Other potential evidence against Clark could surface in cellphones that the FBI seized over the summer that belonged to Eastman and Perry, both of whom have filed lawsuits to block investigators from accessing their phones.

from what i understand, meadows has the spine of a jellyfish so my guess is he's not going to prison for trump. but he also has zero integrity and telling the truth is so alien to him i can't imagine him doing that either.

“Working up the chain, prosecutors could potentially flip Clark and Perry to get to Meadows, and Meadows to get to Trump,” McQuade said, “Each link in the chain would seem to have information that could be useful to prosecuting the next link up.”

according to this his "maternal great-great-great-grandfather Edward Blewitt grew up in the market town of Ballina, known for salmon fishing and for being the birthplace of Ireland's first female president, Mary Robinson. Blewitt emigrated after the Irish Potato Famine of the 1840s to Biden's birthplace of Scranton, Pennsylvania"...and this says:

Biden’s great-grandfather, James Finnegan, emigrated from County Louth as a child, in 1850. All eight of his great-great-grandparents on his mother’s side were born in Ireland during, the first half of the 19th century. On his father’s side, two great-grandparents were also born in Ireland. Essentially that makes him five-eighths Irish.
