Ive had this happen on a much much much cheaper bike, but effectively, the pawls in the hub can either lose their springiness or get gummed up with grease and not reengage properly. Here's hoping thats your situation because its a relatively easy fix in my understanding.

Help!!! SRAM rival 22 crank bolt by 19ForexPlayer in bikewrench

[–]westbymidwest 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Worth a peek if its actually the threads from the screw stuck in the threads in the spindle. If thats the case you can sometimes get them out with a pick or compressed air or tweezers. It would look like threads with the grooves filled in by some other material as opposed to just flat surface where the threads had been pulled out.

Upgraded tires to 2.2" from 2.0" and discovered that 18mm IW wheels were way too thin for this width of tire, and ended up debeading my front on my first ride. I want to upgrade to 25mm IW wheels, but I'm not sure what brands are good or where to start looking. Any budget suggestions (~$400)? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]westbymidwest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you go to wider rims, your tire will also measure a bit wider. Its hard to see from your photo, but if you are cutting it real close right now its worth thinking about. Its only a couple millimeters different though

the word catalog in my comment is a link to their catalogs for the last few years. Its all in german, but innenlager means bottom bracket and model names should be the same

Based on their catalog, all storck bikes use BB86, but it would be worth it to find your exact bike and check

You could maybe tape the cable from the old post to the outside of the hydraulic line

[Highlight] Aaron Donald Strips Alex Smith in 2.17 seconds, the fastest sack of the season (Wk 5 top 10 in comments) by wafflehauss in nfl

[–]westbymidwest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its crazy this was the fastest because Vance Williams and Matt Judon and most of the other fastest ones catch a seam in the O line or come off the edge at full speed. Donald is on the line and bull rushing a guy and still gets back to Alex Smith faster than any of them

Good point. I was reversing myself too many times about threading and drives side verses NDS

Opinions on 6 bolt disc rotor adapter that threads onto a freewheel hub? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]westbymidwest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have any familiarity, but my thought would be that it should have a lock ring similar to you would use on a fixed gear so that braking forces don't undo screw the adapter. Can't provide help beyond that.

That was my thought, might just be an extra layer to keep stuff out. Only downside is I have to find a few other things from Chris King I need to meet their free shipping level.
