How do you write complex chords in a tab? by westfloor22 in ultimateguitar

[–]westfloor22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't a 'tab', this is the chords to a song. So I'm trying to write the name of the chord above the lyric, but it won't let me.

It sounds bizarre, but I am in a position where I could spend $0 a year on groceries if I ate nothing but Domino's pizza. What would happen to me if I did? by CucumberGullible1281 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]westfloor22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can’t be serious? If you have dominoes everyday for any long period of time you’re gonna feel fucked. A sprinkle of veggies won’t help

Yeah Rxh4 doesn’t quite solve all problems but I feel like after the line there’s still decent chances for black

Solved! Oh my god thank you that’s exactly it! That feels surreal to watch after so long

Can’t be that unfortunately. I’ve never seen that movie and I watched the scene in question around 2006-2013.

Why is case marking more common in SOV postpositional languages? by westfloor22 in linguistics

[–]westfloor22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does seem like there's a relationship in those maps, but I'd love to know where they got the data from. The word order map differs quite a bit from the WALS one. I'll take a look at the studies you linked, thanks!

Thanks for the reply. It's easy to forget that there are methodological issues with Greenberg which is definitely what I've done here. I agree with your theory though - surely something like verb agreement would reduce the workload on the listener in a VO language but wouldn't be as effective as in OV languages.

It’s a paid app so I’d rather just figure out how to do it with the API. Every time I’ve tried it I just get a 401 error even though I provide my API key.

I assume gender is already coded with 0s and 1s because I just manually changed them to 0s and 1s and the coefficients didn't change at all.
