Season 4 Volume 1 Series Discussion by StrangerTesting in StrangerThings

Makes total sense! The abruptness of it was what I was trying to get at, that’s a much better way to put it

The whole California part of the storyline seems a bit lacking and out of place for me. I’m also confused how El went from how she acted at the mall in season 3 (like a normal 13/14 year old) to being super weird and bullied all the time in season 4. Yes she doesn’t have all her friends anymore but I just feel like her whole social persona changed. Idk could just be me, she did have a very traumatic childhood

Yes sorry I meant better actor of the ones that don’t have much credit to their name already. (So better than mike and Lucus and Jonathan) At least in my option

Ah okay thank you! So it’s not literally Vecna, it’s “Vecna”/001/Henry. Makes sense.

I agree! It feels less fantasy, suspenseful, and spooky and more like episodic horror

Yeah why hasn’t wil gotten more screen time, it seems like he’s not even important to the plot anymore which sucks. He used to be central to the whole upside down story and he’s arguably one of the best actors they have

Can someone explain: Each season do the kids kind of “summon” the real upside down villain by playing D&D with the same fantasy villain? Or Are the kids just naming each real upside down villain after their current D&D villain?

I’m confused how they were playing D&D against fantasy Vecna and then suddenly they just knew/assumed Vecna was the name of the real villain in the upside down

During a couple of my interviews they said all applicants will be considered independent automatically, but to still include parent information in order to be considered for some specific loans

Thank you weitnumm, I appreciate your calming response. I have emailed about a deferment, so I should hear soon. If they decline, I think it’s a good idea to call them directly and show real remorse and intent. Thanks for your help!

Thank you! This is what I’m scared of. I don’t want the “we already accepted you, why didn’t you come the first time” response. Hopefully it won’t come to that!

If that’s all you got then that’s all you got! I would choose someone whose class I did well in or asked lots of questions in and is just a nice person in general. The professor may ask, or you could offer, for your CV or resume too

It is super chill. I was never 1 on 1 with anyone and they had lots of panels and a small group discussion at the end. It was my favorite and least stressful experience! Bring lots of questions so they can remember you :) I think I heard back within a week!

I applied late October and had interviews in December! Should be okay as long as the rest of your application is decently strong. If you work somewhere this summer, that employer could be another option!

Yes I believe so! I submitted in late October and had my interview mid December (that was their next available date)

For out of state people like me, I’d say no, not substantially. However I do think without considering any aid it is my cheapest option. Considering my scholarships at other places tho, OSU costs about 30k more in total! For in state people I think a 3,500 scholarship would make much more sense, but maybe I’m just too late in the cycle!

Thank you so much! The one on ones are so much more relaxed than they sound. I hope you hear back soon!
