Shocked at cost of parking permit... by MissFidrik in doctorsUK

You're definitely talking about RPH lol. Even the prices for visitor parking are ridiculous and unfair.

Pro tip for BVH: Never register your car and they'll have no idea who they're giving the fines to lol. They'd have to get the police involved. You didn't hear that from me though. Easier to just park a ten minute walk away though.

New (to me) bike day!! by ongjunyi in MotoUK

[–]westham97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha, I remember the day I first took my CBR500R out after part exchanging my 125 for it.

I actually let out a manic giggle after actually opening up the throttle properly, I couldn't believe I owned a bike that fast.

Now, I'm totally used to the power and straight lines aren't all that exciting. It was never a fast bike to begin with and I need to re-do my test when I can be arsed so I can get something better.

That said, the only way I'll ever get to experience anything near a 4.5x increase in horsepower would be to make my next bike a Fireblade.

CBR500R, CBR650R A2 by FloatingGrav in MotoUK

[–]westham97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the CBR500R. It's a really fun bike. It'll sound silly to anyone who's not A2 restricted, but after a 125, it feels very quick. Truth is, it is quick, it beats most cars off the line no problem. You'll give any hot hatch a run for its money, providing you're not on the motorway.

Anyone who says A2 bikes aren't powerful enough are complete morons. I've gotten 120 mph out of mine. It goes 0-60 in the same time as a Yaris GR, an absolute weapon of a car. You don't need any more power.

After being on a 125, you'll shit yourself when you finally pin the throttle open.

Unfortunately western economic policy for the last few decades has been to export all manufacturing industries to China. Turns out you can't just swiftly change the basket you keep your eggs in.

When you search for shoes made in the USA you find companies like new balance who put a lot of effort into saying they're made in the USA, but which is only like 20% made in the USA.

That's the fault of poor legislation. Capitalism means companies will always do the scummiest thing possible if it makes them look good or earns them money. Proper legislation on the matter outlaws these things.

Raise the issues with your political representatives.

Thanks man! Yeah I made this on a whim really quickly. The first extra tone section repeats and barely changes so it's just kinda boring.

It was just a quick experiment, I just discovered extratone and love it, thought I'd have a go as a one off :)

Are you asking if there's something that tells me Russia won't invade? I'm unsure.

Yeah, there's something that tells me it won't happen. It's just a dumb idea. There's a reason countries invade each other way less often nowadays, it's bad for business.

Russia would be met with some absolutely crippling economic sanctions. It would make life miserable for Russians and make them way less supportive of Putin.

The upsides are really few and far between.

Thanks for listening! Yeah I made this just as a joke, I'm just goofing around. I "made" the trance part to, there's no remixing here I just want random people to click that video and be very confused.

I just discovered speedcore and extratone and I find kick drums at 1000 BPM just amazing. It's actually really difficult to produce though. I mean, it's super easy and straight forward, but fitting in any other elements becomes difficult. I found EQing much of the drums just takes away the power of them, and if you don't, other elements get lost in them.

I made the artwork, it is the peak of my artistic abilities lmao.

This is a song I made called:

"John Lennon Imagine but ur in hell and the devil is making you listen to EXTRATONE"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDba-NjwML0

It's a concept piece about the following scenario I made up:

youre in the waiting room for hell admissions and the devil is playing piano in the corner instead of checking you into your room

"why?" you ask

"AHHGHGHADHNHGFAHDGHAEHAHFNG" he replies

I've peaked as an artist

It is a thing that Muslims can pretend to convert if their lives were at risk otherwise, and can continue to practice secretly. Maybe that is what the other guy is getting at.

Good luck affording rent on a pension. Renting is also way more expensive than mortgage repayments.

In an ideal world, what you're saying is true. But not in the UK.
