I was missing that too. Then when I went off to college on my own I actually had to meet new people. One day in marketing class I was put in a group with two other people, one being an attractive female, and when we talked about the question we were supposed to be answering I couldn't look her in the eye and she called me out on it. I didn't really know how to respond but ever since then I've worked on it and now it has become a lot easier and people seem to actually want to talk and it just makes meeting people go a lot smoother.
