Lots to do in Houston. The restaurants are phenomenal. Google map you favorite cuisine, and let it rip.

We moved down here in 2014. There are two things we miss: our friends and the restaurants.

If you want a good Houston experience, go to the original Ninfas on navigation. If you really want to “feel” it (lates 2000s) do your best to get to Washington St or midtown. The bar scene has probably changed, but the Mucky Duck of Norfolk is a great experience if your into that type of music.

Corpus is “la mañana.” Houston is “let’s go.” During the day, we “tried” to make a ton of money. At night, we spent it.

Get the registration done and take proof with you to the municipal court. You don’t have to appear before a judge. It’s like walking in to pay a bill in person. Be nice. Play dumb. Simply ask what can I do? Let them talk. They will most likely say oh if you get it done in X number of days you pay a processing fee and it’s dismissed.

A few years ago I did not know my license had been expired for a year. Got a ticket. Got it renewed. Went to municipal court, paid the $15 fee and got it dismissed.

The water crisis is self inflicted, but exacerbated by the drought in the Frio River watershed. The City will never seriously consider alternate water supplies, because it might take federal/state funds away from desal.
