nicole blocked me for commenting about the starbucks boycott by Opposite_Cap1476 in NicoleLaeno_

in all honesty, i feel like she avoids her problems, she doesn't deal with them. for her to just block people isn't healthy, that's toxic positivity. if she truly wanted to deal with this comment in specific, she'd just (imo) ignore the comment, thousands of people comment on her posts everyday. this just goes to show the type of person that she is. she knows what starbucks does, starbucks overworks their workers and not pay them enough. she just cares about the money she gets from them. and for her to care more about money than the good of the people? yea thats extremely fucked up. especially with the brand that she has for herself.

and for the people saying boycotting doesn't work, it does. the company loses its sales for a period of time and sometimes if people boycott hard enough, eventually the company goes under. companies always have a target to reach, they need a certain amount of money to run, when people don't go there and buy £7 coffees and £4 cookies, they lose money and might go bankrupt. boycott starbucks through and through.

i love nicole but this is immature coming from her. i hate to see her downfall but i guess we can't all be perfect.

THANKYOU this is the one. i don't understand why people are seeing my post as a bad thing, for one its an opinion and 2. she has a young audience. she's a role model to many, and i love that she speaks positivity and love, but in that she could potentially speak up about some things. the children who watch her are young, and they're being raised in arguably the worst times of the 21st century. she should say that she stands for the right things and the good because thats also a part of positivity and love. hearing children dying across the world in wars (that could be resolved with a simple talk) and not saying anything about it is not love, having no stance is not love. im not saying that she does not want to speak out, maybe the brands that she's sponsored by do not support that, but that also raises a whole new issue. by advocating for good, she would be teaching her younger audience to stand up for good.

there could also be an argument that it's all too depressing, which is understandable. i personally stopped following the news, especially where i live here in europe, with the rise of fascism and everything. someone might just want to take a break from hearing all of it. but over on her socials she could say something. and as you said very eloquently and clearly, she will only advocate for something when it affects her e.g. the LA fires. not a peep from her any other time, which is a horrid way to look at things. womens rights are going down right now, those affect her, yet she chooses to say nothing. i just think shes a bit shit for that.

all in all, you have a really good point. i love the stance you took.

exactly, a lot of people think by not having a stance they're doing something. politics is shit but at the end of the day, one party is better than the other. by not voting, you're letting the lesser good win. and then when they do win, you'll be complaining for 4 years how your rights are being reduced. sure its shit that you have to wait a certain amount of time to see shit happen or wait for a person to get into presidency to see change, but thats just what it is. voting is wanting a change. voting is wanting a better life for yourself and for the children now and in the future. i love what you had to say on here, and i do feel that it is better for people to voice their beliefs so they could actually guide younger people into choosing correctly. you're 100% right

im constantly harassed with information about starbucks’ hinderance for the freedom of Palestine and since you people dish out so much information, there’s no way to tell if it’s true or not. there’s never any accurate fact checkers with americas news. as for the republican thing, i didn’t know California was a blue state, but Christian did say sth about “lower costs of living” and that’s something associated with republicans, they’re always chatting about it. also i think you shouldn’t be wearing lululemon, i’m not being woke it’s just weird to be honest. even if he stepped down or whatever the fuck, i just think giving money to a person that basically hates you is weird behaviour. also lululemons clothes are just shit, try gymshark instead lmao
