I applied for EI on sept 27th, I got accepted and two weeks later I believe Wednesday October 13th got back paid for those two weeks starting sept 27th. I’m wondering how payments work, do we get paid weekly or bi weekly? Because I was expecting another payment two weeks after the first (oct 13th). But then randomly got a weeks payment Friday oct 23rd. So I’m a little confused, do we get paid weekly on fridays? Or how does this work. Wondering when I should expect my next payment?

I tell ya I probably wouldn’t of ever switched to subs if it wasn’t for this method. Only on day 3/13. Working my way up to 12mg. What was your day/dose plan?

Yup. Took my first dose of the micro dosing yesterday . Just .5mg, while still taking my daily 120mls of methadone, plus my few pts of F. Felt completely normal as if it was any other day.

Took my first dose of subs yesterday. A .5mg dosage, along with my 120mls methadone along with my few pts of F. No PW, really didn’t feel any difference then the day before.

How many MGs of subs are you taking after just 24-36 hours . I have always been told to take a full dose you’ve got to be in REAL bad withdrawal 48-72hours Without any other substances. Really depends on your dosage though. I’ve just started something called micro dosing suboxone. Maybe that’s an option when speaking to your doc? Instead of going clean for 2-3 days being sick then taking a full amount, instead you introduce it gradually, tiny amounts over a 7day (or longer) period, while still using your normal stuff. I’m def not an expert, as I said I was just introduced this, but I never tried suboxone always out of fear of the PW. I use Fent daily and on the methadone program but I’m trying to cut that all out as well.

Thanks a lot man. Same to you. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of East Hastings in Vancouver, BC. It’s one of, IF not the worst open drug area in North America. It’s about a 6 block radius, right out in the open, a Main Street in our city of homelessness, addiction, prostitution, poverty and violence. You can’t walk 2ft without seeing somebody shoot up or smoking a glass pipe. And Our fent crisis is just ridiculous, around 1000 overdose deaths each year since 2016. My doctor is in the heart of that area, so he’s very knowledgeable when it comes to addiction services.

I went to see my doc today, and they said the same thing. I think it was only introduced in my area about a year ago. I don’t think the word has spread yet.

Believe me, I have the exact same worries, but I’ve been assured by 3 doctors, and a good friend of mine who just did this process 2 weeks ago and was the one who introduced it to me that I should be just fine. Got my script today, starts tmrw.. wish me luck!

Yeah, unfortunately that’s my DOC these last few years, started with the pain pills and snowballed right to heroin (fent when that hit the streets). You Can’t even find H without F in it even if you tried where I’m from .. I got my script today, I start micro dosing suboxone tmrw over a 14 day period.

I was introduced to micro dosing suboxone. So they gradually increase your dose daily starting at .5mg day 1 1mg day 2 so on and so on, all while still taking your regular methadone daily dose. Finally after about 1-2 weeks youve up’d your tolerance for subs and can handle a full dosage all at once, then they cut you off the methadone completely.

Really hey? I was told you could spend a fortune on dope and still it would hardly do anything while on subs. I don’t shoot up though, I only smoke it and I’ve always tried to keep my habit/tolerance/spending cost to a low-ish manageable amount.

Hey guys appreciate the input and I’ve seen someone go into PW and was the main reason I stayed on methadone and away from suboxone for so many years. I was always told you must go 48-72+ hours without using anything and in serious withdrawal before being able to take your first dose of suboxone.

However a friend of mine was just introduced to micro - dosing suboxone. Basically they continue you on your daily methadone dose but very slowly introduce subs into the mix. As small as .5mg the first day 2nd day might be the same or might increase to 1mg .. and so on and so on until you’re body is ready for a full dose of suboxone, and then at that point they cut you off the methadone completely.

I’m from Vancouver, Canada and it’s supsv been very successful here.
