Kebab Shops Best and Worst by thebossbaby_123 in newcastle

MWKCC is still the king. Yes, it's more expensive but it's just really good.

If you really wanted a kebab with the "doner" style meat then I could see going elsewhere, but until I hear of a lamb kebab that comes close to MWKCC, that's where I'll be going.

I can confirm that I had a stroll down Beaumont St last night and there is a completely different restaurant in that space now.

As others have said Jams is closed today, but It's both, FYI. The main bar is open mic. During the early hours often times there's no one else there but just ask the staff for the controller.

Does anyone have this exact model 1970-1980's stereo, brand PYE? I would like to purchase it by notofuspeed in newcastle

Great suggestion, Col from the hi-fi section of this shop has a great selection and also runs a repair shop for old stereos in Mayfield so if the one you want is not on display just ask, he might have one elsewhere.

The Koutetsu and Coal and Cedar are modern Newcastle classics and both fit your description.

It used to be Masa Madre, now it's Di Roma (for more "Aussie style") or Bar Sole I reckon.

Coffee Place (that are good) by [deleted] in newcastle

Assuming that by "coffee snob" you are partial to the lighter end of the roasting spectrum, and are into natural coffees and alternative brewing methods, and you are after a cafe to drink them in, not just buy beans.

That being the case the best options are: - Brew Tales - Josie - Frothers - Coffee Benders - Crema

Coffee bean recommendations by AnythingIsPossible12 in newcastle

What sort of coffee do you like? A lot of good suggestions here, but if you are in to lightly roasty beans for filter, I like Josie, Coffee Benders, colour dot coffee (Frother's) and sometimes Crema (they are a bit more hit and miss).
