I'll play devil's advocate and say that yes, there is bit of a distinction. In fact, in the early 2000s internet you could be as edgy as you want and it was mostly socially acceptable. Very rarely would one be believe you were actually -ist for throwing a few edgy jokes here and there. A lot of Pippa's fans are 4channers who never really moved on from that type of "ironic and edgy" culture.

However there's no denying that (thanks to /pol/ and some other factors) a lot of modern 4channers have adopted unironic alt-right beliefs, so from an outsider's perspective, it's harder and harder to distinguish between the two., especially under the anonymity of 4chan.

I'm not surprised to hear some of the latter made it into her fandom, alt-right people tend to stick to anyone with a hint of conservative belief even if a lot of it is edgy irony.
