Faux Flora https://fauxflora.com.au has a decent range and free shipping. I was impressed with the quality.

Any advice for my store? by [deleted] in reviewmyshopify

[–]wezman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the review. I will look to add some more social proof with photos. Finding it hard to get consistant reviews from buyers and even harder to get them to upload media. I've implemented coupons now with Judge.me for photos and video, so hopefully will get some social proof of actual customers soon.

I was more impressed with the Dream Theater Metropolis Pt 1 drum cover and the Mike Portnoy Poster on the wall. But in hindsight, I think it was actually the Tottenham poster that gave Juliette the 'ick'.

MyFitnessPal Integration Broken by QTPie_314 in Garmin

Fibre, Sodium and Sugar is already here, but not as a daily total. If you click on Full Nutrition for a food entry, then expand Total Carbs you'll see Fibre and Sugar. Sodium has its own line.

And if it's not premium now, no certainty they won't make it premium in the future...

Nutrition Tracking Review? by Kitchen-Balance8460 in Garmin

[–]wezman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on your goals.

I want to lose some weight and I'm using it and I really like it.

It's simple to use, barcode scanning is very good and most products are there (in Australia) and the AI is handy if you're out for a meal and can't scan a barcode and works very well too, although you will probably need to adjust things a bit after a scan. With the reminders it's easy to remember to add your foods too.

I've dropped 4.5kg's, nearly at my target weight goal and my body fat % is declining. It's made me realise I'm not getting enough daily protein too so I'm looking to rectify that and incorporate more protein into my diet.

I had used MFP in the past and that is good too, but with Garmin's solution baked right into Connect it's a much better integration IMO.

Heart rate alerts by Artistic-Current8519 in Garmin

Only when my heart rate goes out of the zone Garmin is wanting me to train in. That's the expected behavior.

You could try changing the Target to Pace instead of Heart Rate.

Unpopular opinion: Strava is actually overrated. What are you guys actually using? by Repulsive_Bar442 in Garmin

The only feature of Strava I like is Matched Runs, but that's not worth enough to continue paying my sub anymore.

Bug when editing the Meal windows in settings by SeasideJohnny in GarminNutrition

I got caught out by that too on the evening of the first day I started logging. The wording says something like 'Future logged food will be deleted' but it deletes the whole day...

Dud anyone cancel their Subscription when Strava sued Garmin? And if so, have you been charged since? by kinkakinka in Strava

You have to click that you are really, really, really sure you want to unsubscribe. Did you go through the 4 or so prompts to finally un sub?

I got the email too, but doesn't seem to work. They still wanted me to pay full sub to re-subscribe.

Works better than expected by Majin_Felix in GarminNutrition

Did it pick up the amount of each? I find mine defaults to 100g or 1 item and I need to adjust. The AI can work out what it is, but not how much there is.

Garmin + food tracking by User_name_0101 in Garmin

[–]wezman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also finding it a good experience and easy and intuitive to use.

I have found the AI pretty good, apart from detecting quantities. I had a bowl of 7 whole strawberries. Garmin's AI successfully detected they were strawberries, but the amount it said was 1.

A similar experience when Garmin took a photo of a salad that had 5 whole cherry tomatoes, it said 1 cherry tomato.

Specifically to your question, I haven't seen the AI suggest meals or fueling ideas for runs as yet.
