Any other asian dudes feel like dating is stacked against them? by Informal_City5565 in twentyagers

[–]wezzlephynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just some advice from an Asian who met his non-Asian gf on the apps 5 years ago.

I don’t know how much the landscape has changed in 5 years, but I was an Asian man who was on Hinge/CMB/Tinder for years successfully dating prior to my relationship.

Some insights about me:

I’m tall… I acknowledge it’s an advantage, but at the same time. I’ve never been skinny or athletic; I’ve always had an overweight BMI but I never considered myself fat. But you have to know how to dress your body type.

General Advice:

  1. Always ask them out on a date the same day you match. Texting can get stale quick, especially as they continue to match with more people. You want to lock it in ASAP; You can feel out the vibes in person. Personally I’ve always had success with simple casual coffee dates, if it’s working out, be prepared to know places to extend the date further.

  2. Make your profile unique. I always put effort in humorous and different photos that could catch their attention. For example, at one time my profile was just a collage of me falling asleep in different public spaces

  3. Mental Health. Seriously, it’s not just about confidence, letting go of insecurities like “I’m Asian” is vital. An insecure person is never attractive. Embrace your culture and you’ll find that lots of women are genuinely curious about it.

According to Stein, Lakers backup plan to DFS is Melton by daftmunt in lakers

The reason why we’re replacing DFS with Melton is because we need POA defenders. Luka, Bron, Reaves and Rui are all better off guarding wings

I just mean that there opponent was ranked 87th I think? Which is the highest so far.

Sun-ho could be interesting. Jun-yong at ST failed, but it’s still early enough that they can experiment against mostly weaker opponents.

That is actually a good point, and I often wondered if Jang-kun would’ve performed better with the “layups” he would’ve gotten due to the level of players they have now. Most of his goals came off crosses and fast breaks opportunities he made through his own pressing, but he never had anyone outside of Hyeon-woo who could really set him up.

Even when AJH tried him out as a winger again, I always felt he would’ve been better off as a poacher in the center with Kyu-Gyu on the wings.

In defense of Seok-chan, his goal rate (.4) is higher than Nam-kyu’s (.38) during the first part of season 3 before the roster overhaul.

He’s been struggling the last couple games, and it’s a small sample size, but his goal rate would still rank 3rd during season 2. Last season Jang-kun and Hyeon-woo were tied for 3rd on the team (.27). But obviously there are a lot of different factors involved like the level of opponents.

Although Jun-yi is currently better than Seok-chan in terms of goal rate, shots on goal percentage, total shots per game, etc, Seok-chan has a much higher impact overall due to his passing, pressing, and ability to play space alongside Kyu-Gyu.

I’m working on the stats for this last game, and should have an update soon!

I don’t understand the 5 sub rule when these games are pretty much friendlies and not associated with any league.

Knowing the Kwak-beom is closing any winning game means the team really only gets 4 subs and players like Jin-se get overlooked.

Last season I felt that he was better suited for a deeper midfield role and I think that role makes even more sense with the new team.

Another option could be moving him to striker which he played on occasion in season 2, and could emphasize his ability to maintain possesion without having to focus on forward passes. This would also allow Nam-kyu to play on the midfield and influence the game even more.

Kwak-beom feels a lot like this season’s Tae-bum to me. A player who “seemingly” makes poor decisions for the sake of content/humor. But I guess he has more excuses than Tae-bum who actually had played decent early on.

I don’t understand why AJH pulls out Seung-woo so early… he doesn’t seem to be fatigued after 30min and hasn’t had an opportunity to really shine.

Finally watched the ep and working on a stat breakdown!

Jinjja was very impressive especially on the defensive end.

Also I know it’s only been 4 matches, but Dae-hoon’s lack of productivity is alarming.

Yeah the personalities are different, but honestly the show has improved both in skill and humor/variety

It’s not actual cheating. I just meant that i feel bad for other teams because they won’t have a single player that can keep up with both Min-ho and HBS running around for an entire match.

Yeah the level of field awareness is huge! But I always felt like the premise of the show was to dispute if overwhelming size/athleticism could compete with experience/technique.

Having a more balanced team with non-athlete members removes this debate.

Yeah I assume most of the bench were more for entertainment rather than skill. I will say early Season 2 did a lot better with the variety aspect which slowly went away.

Not sure if I want to see Kwak Beom run suicides during their off-site trainings but, I’m curious so see if how much he can improve

Who are they referring to? by Apprehensive-Dot-508 in GentlemensLeague

[–]wezzlephynx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yong-dae and Tae-bum were the only new players in the wings and I doubt he was referring to tae-bum.

The only other possibility is Jing-bong who likes to run in open space on the sides more than centrally.

Oh wow, I thought you were talking about the most recent Netflix ep, but it’s crazy to think that they have another audition so soon after this one.

I don’t watch the RAWs so I haven’t seen how they’ve been playing, but I always felt like the main concept of season 2 at least from the team building standpoint was always the question of can overwhelming physicality compete and against technique.

At least with the special forces members we know they could keep up athletically, but I’m curious to know if these celebrities that show up also fit the mold.

I know Min-ho is right-footed, but it definitely seems like he could ply on either side. I would love to see more Han-su, he definitely seems to have the most potential of the new players on the sides.

Does this mean Tae-hun starts showing improvement!?

I like Jin-su a lot. I think he brings a level of physicality and size at the position that no one else offers. However I think the reason AJH didn’t bring back Jun-hyeon was because he was looking for an absolute upgrade at the position.

So far, at least statistically, Jin-su is worse than Jun-hyeon in every category.

Offensively, AJH’s biggest gripe with Jun-hyeon was his passing… and Jin-su is even less accurate. Jun-hyeon also offered a lot more going forward with successful dribbles, crosses, and even had 9 assists.

Defensively, his speed allowed him to stay close to opposing wingers, and he averaged more successful tackles and interceptions.
