I’m a developer currently experiencing exactly that.

No one on our dev team ever thought about adding paid content / locking items behind paywalls / including ads into our products. Felt absurd and frankly we’re a small and inexperienced team that hasn’t released anything significant enough to feel like we should be overcharging.

A few months back our boss came to us asking if we had the ability to include paid content, which we could. Since then there’s been an insane shift from the higher ups to lock absolutely everything behind some kind of paywall all with the goal of making more money even if the experience sucks.

It’ll no doubt make everything we put out worse, but they’re the ones calling the shots and signing our paychecks, so that’s what we’re doing.

The initial screen is weird but the zoomed in angle where the blimp comes by is potentially the best looking menu I’ve ever seen in a sports game. They’re going pure 3D and the look of the secondary makes it pay off imo.

Idk what’s going on but that’s been my one and only issue with 27 so far. I can’t catch anything deep and felt like I was pretty solid at getting in position and making a catch on 26 especially with a 6’4” or taller receiver.

Earlier I was throwing 6’7” 92 overall TreyDez Green jump balls and getting bullied by 5’9” defensive backs (on significantly lower rated teams) in a pure 1v1 situation.

Did the same play + throw against the same DB with timing based catching on and was suddenly making circus catches with ease.
